As a Russell Tovey fan I really wanted to like Hounds, but I really just could not. Like, at all. For me, Blind Banker isn't the best episode, but it's likeable and at the very least watchable.

In my defense I had 0 interaction with any form of Sherlock (except as pop culture white noise) before BBC Sherlock so Pink wasn't obvious for me.

It's less that and more the obvious answer to scenario that's being posed. Very few groups of people meet that profile.

I was thinking more about his murder methods than the fact that it was a cabby.

For me, I guessed "drugged by gassing" during Sherlock's first romp through the woods in Hounds, then it became an hour long wait for Sherlock to arrive at the same conclusion.

Seems accurate. I don't go on OT as much as I used to when I was a lurker though so I don't remember much of the gifs.

Anyway, I'll have to agree with everyone else here in saying that Episode 2 seems to have been the weakest so far. Maybe it's just because Episode 1 of season 2 was so awesome.

I actually don't ship everything. I have my ships though, I just don't gripe at people if theirs are different than mine :p I know, I am a weird fangirl.
I have so much fanfiction to share!

But I am usually afraid to link the sexy stuff because of reasons >.<

All the Sherlock stuff I linked in that thread is amazing though, and yes, wait till you are done with the last episode before reading it :p

I am sure it exists. The second most popular pairing in the fandom shares only this as screen time.

I am half way through the second episode of the first season and.........I am not quite sure if the show is telling me that Sherlock is homosexsual.
 
So happy this is finally back. Elementary has filled my Sherlock-less gap for a long while but it's time for the true kings to return!

At this rate, most of the fandom will tell you that everyone is gay... It's definitely a minefield to navigate at times.

I'm fond of Sherlock & Irene and... Greg & Molly. Scandal in Belgravia being the driving force in highlighting those two pairings.

Also just finished my rewatch of Hounds, only because BBC3 was streaming it; I streamed via Amazon and my friend via BBC3.

The episode is just so damn sassy. :P Also is a Doctor Who mini reunion of sorts.

Sherlock figures out that it's a cab driver very quickly in the A Study in Pink pilot, so I'd say it's more about the writers trying to stretch a 60 minute story into a 90 minute one.

Oh yeah. It's the official archive for the OTW (Organization for Transformative Works). They let you archive anything there as long as it's a transformative work. My fanvids are even there.

Edit: Everyone else in this thread is now realizing the depth of my insanity.

Still almost every other fandom I've seen there normally has a lot less fanfics than fanfiction.net I don't even know where to start. It's overwhelming D:

It seems that older fandoms tend to cluster around AO3, simply because of the ban on more 'adult' works at ff.net. (Not that that stops a lot of people, but still) AO3 is also invite only, so people have to wait to join until they have an invite from someone already there. Tends to keep the quality higher, but the amount lower. More and more people are getting invites now though, so it's gaining ground as a major archive.

The ratio for Supernatural is ff.net at 85kish, and AO3 at 56kish.

Seriously, the second most shipped couple in the Sherlock fandom is Mycroft and Lestrade. Who share no screentime aside from the picture I posted earlier in the thread. Fandom doesn't care about no silly thing like reality. Pft.
