If my family is any indication, racism towards blacks is pretty damn common among Hispanics.
People want that model minority status so they shit on blacks for that pat on the back. I say fuck that shit

I'm willing to bet a weeks wages these asshats were from reddit or 4chan or both. The slang is dead on.

How is this not bigger news? Also not surprised this thread is only five pages when that Dartmouth thread was far longer. Smh
What is he even attempting to achieve? The status quo takes care of cops and white people just fine.
Dylann Roof. White people can't be terrorists, reserved for Muslims.
Oh, it definitely is. I live in a predominantly Hispanic area and I see and hear it all the time. The word for the color black is said in 2 different ways with one having a more demeaning and derogatory tone when spoken. If my family is any indication, racism towards blacks is pretty damn common among Hispanics.
What are you talking about? I meant the protesters getting shot will only further reinforce the current state of the race relations. I wasn't thanking them for shooting anyone but hey call me dumb for literally stating the obvious.Yeah, fuck them for "helping" BLM, not because they nearly killed multiple people!
So dumb.
No offense but your pops sounds like a complete piece of shit. Thankfully doesn't seem you've taken up from his side.He was always a laid back "fuck it" kind of dude, but always openly racist, too. Since he's bored these days, he's been standing up for the rights of people like him who worked all their lives but feel that other races don't work as hard and that makes them inferior.
We need to go Operation Reddit Shine on 4chan for incubating real life terrorism. I've tweeted @hiroyuki_ni (current owner of 4chan) asking if he can do anything about it. If Reddit can realize the behavior of these people needs to stop then so can 4chan.
Reddit is equally bad if not worse at this point at stemming the increasing amount of vitriol that flows through the larger subreddits. Both sites are essentially at the mercy of some idiotic vocal minority. 4Chan I wouldn't expect to shutter shit like /pol/ anyway, but Reddit as a whole has proven to be terrible at policing themselves so who cares. /r/videos and /r/news at this point might as well be Stormfront. They flipped /r/videos to remove political ones and now /r/politicalvideos exists as a dumpster fire of blatant hate.
George Takei posted a news story about this on Facebook, commenting on how tragic it was.it's a pretty straight forward tragedy, not much room for back and forth unless someone actually wants to defend the shooting.

Some people in the comments are defending this and putting the blame on the protesters and, in the worst cases, black people as a whole. Fuck FB man.
Also, some quick facts from today's Star Tribune:
-Currently suspected shooters were all white, two of them turned themselves in
-The hispanic was released, but he was all but confirmed to be a white (non-black?) supremacist who frequents 4chan's /k/
-The hispanic and first arrested white guy are suspected to be the guys in the video posted several days prior
-There was a video uploaded of the pre-violent bullshit and is suspected to have been filmed by the shooters.
-Both City Hall and federal buildings now have tightened security and were also on lockdown for at least part of Tuesday.
EDIT: And another idiot fired shots this morning https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...n-a-row/?postshare=9271448467992996&tid=ss_fb

I'm actually really fucking scared about what's going to happen next. Like seriously, I pass within a few blocks of the 4th Precinct whenever I take the bus to or from downtown, which I do regularly. And sometimes I do it late at night. So uh yeah... These shootings are not good.amazing how the news has ignored this

That sounds about right.Overall it's crazy how little attention it is getting though.
Of course, in the case of Fox News the story goes against their narrative of demonizing BLM, so they want nothing to do with it.

How do people still not understand that local Fox affiliates are not Fox News?Oh, my bad. Fox News seems to have made a report after all and it's not that bad: http://www.fox9.com/news/54130146-story
We're at a total of 4 held suspects by the way. Dunno if the 4th guy was the idiot on Wednesday morning or part of the Monday night stuff.
Fox News host Bill O'Reilly continued his attacks on Black Lives Matter during a panel on his show the day following the shooting. During the November 24 broadcast of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly said of the movement, "if black lives matter, how come this group isn't on the south side of Chicago when every weekend you've got a couple of dozen black lives lost," while a panelist claimed Black Lives Matter is "inciting violence to the point of hate crime."
During that segment, O'Reilly even alluded to the police shooting of Jamar Clark, but failed to acknowledge that five people protesting Clark's death had been shot the night before or that three suspects had been arrested.
If you think Fox News is bad, they're still probably worse than you thought.

(note that the following numbers don't include reruns of the same coverage)
God damn O'Reilly...
Are you all refering to the Hispanic guy who was a suspect? Wasn't he released though without an arrest or warrant or anything? Maybe I heard wrong though. If my family is any indication, racism towards blacks is pretty damn common among Hispanics.
Would have ruined his life is the media had released his name before arrests. He was apparently just there on the scene?NYT said:The authorities identified the suspects in the shooting as Allen Lawrence Scarsella, 23; Nathan Gustavsson, 21; Daniel Macey, 26; and Joseph Backman, 27. All are white and were arrested in the Minneapolis area. The police also detained a 32-year-old Hispanic man, but he was released after questioning.

Oh, thanks for the correction. My bad. Seems the actual Fox News coverage was... god-awful. Good lord.Fox affiliate /= Fox News. Don't give credit where it is not due.
