Note: a search for "gaming setup, 2007" yielded no results.

Happy new year! Hopefully your holidays were good ones. :)

But by now, you know what to do. When the time is right for you all, (voluntarily, obviously) show us the reasons for us to be jealous of you. This is the year for the elite of NeoGAF to show us the proliferation of next-gen consoles, 1080P televisions and more Chittagong electronic porn that will make 2007 a banner year for gaming setups. Post away and make us drool!

What a crappy opening post. You've gotta show us your's before we'll show you ours. I'll take pictures of mine if I can find a camera when I get home.

And I'll take pictures of mine when things are cleaned up. The holidays leave me in a wasteland of moved objects. And wasn't this voluntary last time around? ;-)

Coincidentally, I just yesterday redid mine. This time, the GameCube, Xbox, Genesis, and NES took off:

Dude, you're gonna fry your PS3, move the dreamcast to the bottom shelve.

Genuine setup photos to follow when things get back to the post-holiday norm. In the meantime, a console group photo (PS2 Slimline, RIP). This is also a test to see how well I can use Flickr.

Are these images not appearing? Any tips on Flickr re: bandwidth? Feel free to let me know here. My consoles say hi in their group photo.

Here's my setup in training... not yet complete:

Sony Bravia KDL46XBR2 46 inch LCD TV. I got my PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox hooked up to this unit.

TV Side.... which is connected to...

The computer side...

And here's another shot of the TV.

That's the next gen gaming area. Here's where the rest of the gaming goes down:

Sony Wega XBR1 40 inch CRT TV. Got the Dreamcast, GameCube, Wii, PS2, and NES hooked up to it.

In my garage I have these three hooked up:

Sega Astro City 29 cabinet with Street Fighter II: World Warrior.

Tekken Tag Tournament arcade cabinet.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection arcade board. System 256 running off a MAS Systems Super Nova supergun on a 27 inch CRT TV.

These are all old pics though. I never posted in the 2006 thread because I was waiting for 2007. But now that 2007 is here I'm sooooooo lazy. :(

:lol I really don't have anywhere else to put it, but I do have an alarm system and usually pull the curtains down when I am gone.

How is that television? I was/am considering the 23" version of that display if I can find a good deal.
Because I am not rich!
How does it handle 1080i and progressive scan?
I like it I am not really that big of a videophile so it fits my needs. I really haven't had any problems watching 1080i but I really haven't watched a lot. It handles progressive scan fine and I have no problems with SD content (although as I said I am no videophile)

I live on the wild side. Actually when when I play one I usually take it off the carpet and put it on the black stand to the left. I am still trying to find a cheap tv stand I like.

Even a piece of wood would be better till then.

This was taken like 3 weeks ago, the TV was still in the plastic wrap thing. I need to get a new TV stand but it's been impossible to find something good. Either they are too small or too big :(

somehow i ve always thought that such threads use to showcase game collections but it has since evolve to showcasing " TV" setups more.

You are SO right.

I guess a good TV is part of the videogame experience tho.
