Yeah, the thread is up, subbed. It's always so inspiring to get ideas for your own place, specially since so many different styles come together.

Yup. I just bought a house with the wife a few months ago and we're looking to renovate the entertainment spaces. Some people have amazing setups, you can't help but be inspired.

this has been one of my favorite threads for years but living in an apartment with an old dlp set and a similarly old tv stand limited my options dramatically for my set up. Bought a house last year and have been working on redoing my entire game room, new tv, new tv stands, new surround, and of course and xbox one and ps4

pictures before the new equipment (and before we unpacked from the move)

Reposting what I uploaded on the tail-end of the '13 thread.

Finally bought my very first hdtv this month, after years of gaming on a 22" monitor. Gotta say, it's quite a jump and it's changed the whole look of my tiny bedroom.

Given that my PS4 just arrived, it was about time I moved on to the 21st century with a new 50" Samsung LED. Now to save up for an Apple TV, a Wii U
and eventually an Xbox One
and I'll be set for the foreseeable future.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Well good this gives me a reason to clean up the man cave and post some pics. I have a pool table and a couple consoles down there along with all my Reds stuff. I won't be showing a pic of the gaming pc in the office it's a real cluttered area but functionally cluttered for me. I'll post pics sometime this weekend sure not going to win any setup awards. I will enjoy looking at pics to get some ideas on a new entertainment stand the old and big wood one gots to go.

Renting a house with some friends in my second year of college so the set up is kind of limited, but nonetheless I'll add some pictures here at some point, made some changes over the past year adding a new Gaming Laptop, New TV and of course the PS4! Some really nice stuff in here!

Yay, low res pics from my phone. Really hope to have something as nice as a lot of the other posters one day. Moving out of the barracks should help.

Nothing too special compared to a lot of yours, but I love it. Might be moving to Korea for a year in the 2nd half of this year, not sure how I'm going to cope without all my stuff!

I'll take close ups of the bookshelf tomorrow (if I remember...). Most of it is just games/artbooks/empty cards against humanity boxes though.

I can't wait to post my new room once it's done. Just needs carpet and then I can set everything up. Home Depot said it would be in last Sunday and now they are saying this Sunday. I got a new desk to put together and a monitor mount. I can't wait to finally contribute to this thread. It won't be as amazing as most of the other setups here but it will be mine :)

some nice ones so far! im waiting to take new shots, but i need to catch a new bookcase, been working on my vintage gaming mag collection & i need that and some racks/holders for them to do justice.

So chittagong won the "most similar to Trabris's 2013 setup" award?

haha this is always my take, too

Feck it, posted in the ass-end of the last thread, may as well post here!

Logitech X-540 speakers
Wii
Wii U
XBox 360
SNES

We've got an extension cable running to the side of the couch, so we can hook our laptops up to it when in the living room. There's also a long USB cable with hub connected to the media pc so we can launch Steam in Big Picture Mode and play away. Also sitting there is a Wii U gamepad and wiimote charger, and for some reason my flatmate's laptop sitting precariously atop some graphic novels.

Here's the video of my setup although I'm planning on getting a Wii U and PS4 this year. The video starts off a little slow but gets more interesting later for those of you who love to collect games as well as play them.

The Wii U I'll probably pick up first when Mario Kart 8 or Super Smash Bros. 4 is released.

I am always tempted to contribute to these threads but that would mean having to tidy up my place so.......

Not much has changed from last year, PS4 replaced the PS3 (which moved upstairs). No new artwork hung, although I do have a Man of Steel print from Mondo that I haven't framed yet.

Absolutely love this.

Some new and some known photos from my Home Theatre and gaming room in Germany. This time more variety and not only different colors :).
I added a storage rack for blu-rays in the back. There is much more space behind the seats for movies and games.
Unfortunately it is hard to combine photos from the lighted room and photos from the projection. Therefore i made seperate photos of both. The screen is 3 meters wide and can be masked for 21:9 content. The seats are about 3,5 meters away from the screen.

The room is seperated from our house. Outside you can heare nothing. Perfect for watching movies and gaming at night.

Some of you have beautiful set-ups.

This is where I do artwork and play games. Unfortunately have to game on the smaller monitor.

Congrtats on the house).
Do what ever you can to have your own gaming room to renovate :).

I need to find the time to take pics of my setup & upload it here.

Great setups guys.

I am thinking about doing a fully renovated gaming room in my place built around my 4k TV. Any suggestions for decorations? I was gonna do these lifesize wall decals,

Goemon, will you marry me? I'd do everything a wife would do less the sexual stuff for a chance to game and watch movies in that epic room.

Moved into a place about 18 months ago and the partner (now fiancee!) said I could have the third bedroom as a games room. That's probably why she's now a fiancee! Anyway, here's the pics, it's a small space and the TV is in need of an upgrade (It's only 720p :( )

The view from the chair

Said chair. An old cinema were clearing out, so I grabbed one! :D Also, Olly Moss poster

Other artwork - Tom Whalen's Transformers prints, Olly Moss Cloud, Aeris, Snake and Snake in a Box

Some of the games

Consoles, all hooked up and ready to go! Not pictured - ridiculous number of switchers etc, and the Metal Gear shelf

Figures, laptop, DS4 and Companion Cube!

There's a couple more at the album, but not a great deal... http://imgur.com/a/8w4MH#j48mhjJ

That's my setup for now, it does me fine!

Ikea expedit and benno. Same in every country :). I have both in my home theatre. expedit behind the seats, benno at the back wall.

nice figures!

Crazy setup. If you don't mind me asking, how much money do you think you've put into the room? I'd personally love to do something similar when I start raking in a decent income.

Also, what are those black rectangles on the walls and ceiling? Decor? Or do they serve some kind of secret sauce purpose?

Jeez this thread makes my set up look so small and lame. Some of the pictures in this thread look like model homes. My set up isn't even that bad, it's just these are godly.

Probably sound absorption, so the sound doesn't leak through the walls or echo throughout the room.

You see the same thing in theaters, opera, or a lecture hall.

Makes for better acoustics.

Some changes since the last time I did this, about 6+ months ago too. Also redid some appliances. Anyways:

Pics of my main living room.

My main TV with new soundbar.
Wii U is on top to the right, with the following consoles underneath: PS3, PS2, SNES, Xbox 360, NEX (NES), GameCube w/ GBA Player, Dreamcast

Above my main TV is this nice picture of Zelda: LTTP custom map. Made by a fellow gaffer too!

Most of my current/recent gen games. Starting to run out of room, will end up moving 360 games elsewhere soon I bet.

In the hallway to my laundry room/garage, is a shelf of some of my more retro collections. Including a Virtual Boy, GB Camera + Printer, PSOne, NES, 3DO and my original Launch Wii. You can see several of my Sega games from Master to Dreamcast.

Longer shelfs for more of my retro collection + some newer stuff to show off.
Consoles shown: Famicom, Famicom Disk System, Wii Mini, SG-1000 Mark 2 (Sega console before Master system), Sega Master System, random Sega Genesis.
Several games are found here, like my Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower collection to SNES and NES boxes and actual Famcom Disk Games (Zelda + Metroid)
Games: NES, SNES, N64, Atari 2600, GC, PS2, Xbox

My 2nd TV downstairs. Contains Atari 2600, Xbox, N64, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis w/ 32X & CD. Bonus: Wii U Dev Kit (hidden under the Emilie Autumn tote bag)

Some other shots of my townhouse. I recently bought a new microwave, which is now above the stove to give me more space on the counter.

I don't even care about the gaming stuff, I'd like to see the rest of the OP's apartment. :D

Some really nice setups in this thread though.
