Sierra Classic Adventures to be Rereleased?

shouldnt VU be listing these releases on their site? or do they often release things without listing them?

This is more or less why I haven't bought it yet. If the publisher isn't even acknowledging their publication, that's probably a bad sign.

We'll see.

By the way, for the IIgs versions, Sierra added (cheesy) digitized SFX and some decent midi music. The IIgs has what are considered to be the best AGI ports, though 160x200 graphics kinda hurt to look at.

BTW, Ken and Roberta said the IIgs "wasn't powerful enough" to do Sierra's SCI engine and totally dumped support. Yeah, 320x200 graphics at 16 colors is real fuckin' hard to do, especially when some of the best GS programmers around were telling Sierra that they'd do it FOR them for a cutrate price. IDIOTS! GOSH!

Police Quest 3!!!!!

One of the greatest boxarts, too.

I just cried a little.

Based on the info from amazon.com, all four titles have been pushed back to March 30, 2006. It is somewhat annoying that there is still no info found anywhere on the VU Games website about these rereleases, at least none that I could find after doing multiple searches that is.

If you don't like waiting the Space Quest games have been appearing up on Gametap recently. Not all of them are there yet but I want to say 3 and 4 are.

Was it Space Quest 2 and Kings Quest 3 that had the impossible mazes where you had to set the game speed to VERY SLOW to survive? KQ3 being the cliff down to the town, and SQ2 being the root monster? Great classic games but so frustrating and I never finished one without a guide.

I was so pissed that Police Quest 2 never came out for the IIgs. Couldn't believe Sierra abandoned support like that. Although Apple pretty much abandoned support, too, so you can't totally blame them.
