Having played the PS2 version, I've been wanting to pick up the PC version, but only if it includes the "Restless Dreams" portion of the game that the original PS2 version lacked.

I've been searching on eBay and I've come across two versions of the game. One is called Silent Hill 2 and the other is called Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut.

According to gamefaqs, Director's Cut was the release for Europe. Are the two games identical and are the expanded version of the game?

not sure if you know this or not, but the PS2 version of 'Silent Hill 2' Greatest Hits has the Restless Dreams scenario on it. Pretty cool little extra.

You should be able to pick it up for $20 @ BestBuy. Most BestBuys have a specific 'Greatest Hits' section. Or you could try GameStop/EB's and see if you can find one used for even cheaper.

I'm about 95% sure that the PC version had Restless Dreams in it. Not sure what the Director's Cut version is though.

PC version does have all the extras from the Xbox and GH PS2 versions.

SH2 Director's Cut is the European name for the PC version, it is the same as SH2 PC version in the US, which contains the Restless Dreams/GH/Saigo no uta Maria sub-scenario.
