Not that I take Ebert and Roeper's scores seriously, but I wonder what they're going to give Silent Hill.

Ebert has to be the most fucked up critic out there. I don't understand why he's so popular; he DOES know a lot about film, absolutely, and he's a great writer. But I just don't know about anyone who likes movies such as Tomb Raider and Van Helsing, but didn't like Gladiator because it was "too muddy."

I don't know why but they didn't mention anything about Silent Hill on next weeks show. They only said they will be reviewing The Sentinal and American Dreamz.

And thanks for answering my question. It's a little shorter than I expected but I guess that's just horror movies in general. Plus you add the trailers and it's around 144 min.


Regardless I was at my local theater this week and they were forced to take down the large SH banner than had the 'girl with no mouth' poster on it. :lol Guess that's what you call good marketing.

Really? Aren't most horror movies only around an hour-and-a-half? 127 puts Silent Hill over the 2 hour mark.

Seriously. There are some nice little touches that Gans seems to be throwing in there, a few more obvious than others, like the huge cross in the background on the cliff scene. Also, the clanking of the cars over the bridge as Rose runs under it sets up the demonic "banging metal" sound that is all over the place later in the movie.
