Between the colors, "textures", and camera angle, the room looks like it was ripped from Resident Evil on the Cube, but that could be the lack of sleep and surplus of bourbon talking.

Well, I haven't seen the final version, so who knows what it'll look like. But in the script phase, we had long, long moments where seemingly nothing happens. It's all atmosphere – you're falling slowly into a world and experiencing it much like you would in the game.

Haha, obvious dig at the RE movies--but you'd be stretching to say that anything in the RE movies made sense.

For some reason it gives off a bit of a "Xtreeeme videogame movie" vibe, but maybe that's just because that's what we're used to (may also be because the shot features two (semi-)hot women with guns). They say they're trying to be very faithful to the games, and I suppose I believe it. Can't wait for the first trailer.

That has me very hopeful. Couldn't be further from the typical videogame-to-movie route taken by Hollywood.
