Sins of a Solar Empire for free

Wondering the same thing. I've been interested in trying Champions Online, but there doesn't seem to be trial so I kinda let it be. Hopefully the serial does what I think it does. Just no idea where to actually enter it. Anyone?

Snagged one for a friend, maybe now I'll be brave enough to delve into the online multiplayer.

Edit: And shame on any GFWer's who didn't buy this the moment it was spoken of on the podcast like I did.
 
Is anyone actually receiving keys for titles other than SotSE? I kinda want a Nexus key, but I'm not receiving any new emails.
 
Just activated a Sins key through Impulse and a Speedball 2 key through Steam and they both worked, not sure about the rest.
 
Either Yahoo mail sucks or my registration didn't go through. Been about ten minutes, and no verification email yet.

Edit: Nevermind, took 15 minutes. Code acquired!
 
Sins of a Solar Empire is fucking awesome. I see myself wasting my life away now :lol Single Player only though, I hate playing Multi games like this, at least for now. Makes me too tense. I like to take my time with the stuff =P. Just went through the first two tutorials and damn the game is complex... but looks so much fun. =P

Well, everyone who got here keys are abusing the system. Keys are intended for buyers of the magazine (they don't want to print serial numbers inside the magazine itself). So, ask yourself if it's legal or not.
 
Might anyone be kind enough to grab me a key? Site is inaccessible from work.

I have the game and the expansion myself, but I'd love to hand this to a friend to play multiplayer.

I've got a Heroes of Newerth key to give as a thank you, if you so desire (my last key!).

PM'ed you a key, hope it works :) The heroes key is for the beta i assume? You can give it to someone else, I'm going on vacation so wont be able to play it for a long time :) Would be a waste.
 
This is completely legal to abuse. There are no restrictions mentioned, and all it takes is registering an account.

It's their fault, basically. If they want to give away keys for free (or are unable to prevent this from happening), noone else is to blame, really.

Stardock most likely doesn't care; it's not like they themselves are giving these games away.

Since it's likely that the number of registrars who went there for the purpose of abusing their site is rather high, the site might put some restrictions in place. But that is not your concern.

They've already paid for the keys, I think. What they want is people buying their magazine. So if you feel bad for abusing this, buy the mag, then it's all cool.

You can of course always snitch if you're the type.

Personally I think whoever set it up this way is to blame. Those of us 'abusing' the system shouldn't be able to in the first place. I thought magazines would've learned from the previous key fiasco with Dark Messiah (they required a call-in for keys after they got hammered).

Who cares? Its not as if i was told it was for magazine purchases before i did it. Not my problem. Its theres.
 
I don't think anyone's saying it's illegal. It clearly is legal. I was saying I feel bad because I thought this was a promotion put on by the website in question. Like, I give you my email and sign up to your forums, get a key in return for the spam and for viewing their ads.
 
Hmm, not working for me. I wonder if the 32 digit code that resembles a serial number is not an actual serial?

NEvermind, read the thread and figured it out.
 
Yeah looks like its a wrap guys. Unless hotmail emails don't work with this? Havn't gotten a code and don't expect i will ever get one.

Seem like I got it less than an hour before they shut it down. Anyway, is Impusle magical or something? I'm getting 9 MB/s, yes MB, I've never gotten above 900 kB/s before...

Yeah, there's something about Impulse's servers that makes me feel like I'm downloading from the future.
 
bah i could have gotten key when there still some left but instead i choosed to work, i don't regret it tough since i learned some valuable stuff.
 
And Impulse is down for maintenance... Darn, just as I was about to download Sins of a Solar Empire. Got my serial at least.
