I started it twice and didn't get far. I might actually play it for real this time.

This is probably to stop the lawsuit (if its still happening) they are going through with the creatorclub content (possibly) as that was going to stop the MS acquisition wasn't it?

If they add it to this edition this is how they pay the royalties for the creators to keep up with their contractual obligations

I have the PS4 version from 3,000 yrs ago that i started and never did much with. If the next gen upgrade makes it all beautiful and 60fps, id gladly start over and play from scratch on PS5

Have you met GTA 5?

GTA5 released at the tail end of the console cycle and begin of a new one. It got a release seven years ago and clearly was able to take advantage of the new hardware; it will be getting an upgrade to take advantage of the even newer consoles and presumably deliver a 60FPS experience for folks who probably just want to jump into the online mode. It also has an extensive current user player base.

Skyrim on the other hand has been rereleased to hell and back on every conceivable system and the engine isn't likely to see anything impressive other than what. . .60FPS at 4K. This is despite FALLOUT 76 receiving no such attention and still running like garbage (even on PC).
