Then I picked it up later when I got my first ever gaming PC. Playing it on a 970 blew my mind and OMG was it just as good as ever. Fully played it through and even streamed it on Twitch to the delight of around 30 viewers.

Far from it.

I'm just reading these posts saying how incredible it was and I'm like... it was fun.

Lots of things held the game back (for me) from getting thrown into this cult classic narrative people are spinning here.

Wonky car physics, repetitive cop missions, the oddly miniaturized look of the city...

It's been a while since I last played it, and if I go back to it my opinion could sway either, but one thing for sure is that it didn't leave this lasting, fond impression.

I really enjoyed this game more than GTA V, the fresh feeling culture and different location adds a huge amount. I think the GTA series as a whole loses a huge amount of value by refusing to set itself outside of the US, Sleeping Dogs filled that void very well.

Lol close it up y'all, we didn't realize it till now but this game we love is actually not as good as we think. Oh well!

I played the first couple of hours when it went free on XBL .

When the game opens its world up, it felt immediatly claustrophobic to me. Something about the world did not feel right. That along with the odd vehicle controls completely took me out of the experience and I lost all interest almost instantly .

I may give it another chance.
