Do you guys think Captain Falcon will be unvieled on the dojo site? He's the only unannaounced character I can think of that should be part of the starting line up, so if all the characters on the dojo site are the ones that we will be starting with, then I think we might see Captain Falcon being unvieled. I could be wrong, but isnt he the only starting character from melee that hasnt been unvieled yet?

The music is one of the best ones released so far. I tink it'll be funny when/if the announcer says "Pikmin and olimar" every time you select them.

I'll guess pikmin and olimar's moveset

B- change type of pikmin at the front of line
Forward B- uses whistle and pikmin charge
Down B-plant/pull pikin
Up B- throwing pikmin, with a hop like yoshi's egg toss
grab- a chain of pikmin. length varies depending on how many pikin you have at the time.

God I hope this is true. I've already mentally prepared myself for a Q3/4 release for Brawl Pal-side.

On the subject of character size I made this chart where characters are scaled to approximately their relative size based on screenshots

I think Olimar and Squirtle are about the same size, depending on whether you count Olimar's helmet.

From how I imagine it he will be able to fight without Pikmin but he won't be doing any real damage. That's why he can't even do smash moves without Pikmin.

I know it technically doesn't matter, but there's still a possibility they will address it in the game somehow, since size is very important to Olimar's character/game and they are actually threading a narrative this time. His trophy could, in fact, be very small. My post was just a curiosity, and an excuse to speculate about his intro animation. I've always insisted Olimar is fair game as playable despite size issues (Ridley as well)

1. NEW SUBSPACE EMISSARY BOSS: RIVAL TRAINER

It's Gary. It's also Blue. It's also McMuffin. Whatever name you chose for him, here he is in his Brawlified glory. He will be Pokemon Trainer's first boss fight at the very beginning of his journey. Rival Trainer fights in a very similar fashion to Pokemon Trainer. He uses three Pokemon, just as PT does. He uses the three starters from Johto in the same evolutionary stages that PT's are: Bayleef, Totodile, and Typhlosion. Win the battle, and you'll be met with another, more menacing foe. Who is it? Not this update.

Rival Trainer is just one of several Pokemon bosses in Subspace Emissary, so if you prefer another, perhaps more sinister Pokemon foe, don't worry: there's plenty. On to the preview!

Bullcrap. Gary/Blue is from the first generation, just like Red/PT. He'd use first gen Pokemon. But, of course, that would be silly since Pokemon Trainer uses those. So, if they needed to give him different ones, why the hell would they go with the 2nd gen when Nintendo is currently in "Promote 4th Gen" mode? From another angle, if they were going to put a Rival Trainer in, his pokemon would probably have the same moveset as PT's. I can't see Totodile doing Withdrawl, and Bayleef doing Bullet Seed (in the same way as Ivysaur) would also be strange.

So yeah, this guy is full of crap. If you couldn't figure it out already, of course.

On a side note, Olimar! Now we just need Ashley and Sukapon and all three of my longshots will make it! (Don't really expect the other two, but at least I got one)

Been waiting for this to be announced... looks like he's gonna be a pretty unique fighter that'll be tough to grasp at first (I'm STILL not entirely clear on how he plays just from a quick scan of the update before heading out for work). Also great news on the thoughts that one of the missing icons is G+W, a character I've been crossing my fingers comes back, and that the other is almost guaranteed to be another 3rd party franchise. I still hope that each of the big video game publishers (Konami, SEGA, Namco, S-E and Capcom) has a representative in the game.

There's no way that Falcon wouldn't be in Brawl, don't get why people still think this, even though Sakurai is holding back on him for whatever reason.
