The fucked up thing is that this game doesn't come out till December. Around 45 more updates and even though it seems like there couldn't possibly be more, there is. Then you have to factor in all the secrets that will be in this game.


Seriously, this is a crazy ambitious game.

I'd rather have it in December. I'll probably not play it until January though since I have finals in December.

No kidding. At this point I don't know what to expect, they're throwing all sorts of unique and fun stuff at us that I never even imagined (trophy assists, music selection, real single-player adventure, etc.).

I think it's more the fact that you get daily communication with him, so to speak. There are plenty of games that have the heart and soul of their creators put into them, but you aren't seeing that stuff on a day-to-day basis like this, so it doesn't stand out as much.

I think I've figured out the mystique of Sakurai. It's the fact that it seems that anything he says goes, and he makes all major decisions. It's like when he says "I have decided to implement.." and "I had this arranged.." etc. He's the boss and this is his game. But alot of developers are the same way.

Well, at least this means a better character than Munchlax will be playable. [Edit: And I do mean a character, not necessarily a Pokemon. Any time spent creating Munchlax would have been time not spent creating someone or something else.]

On a sidenote: Pokemon is really entrenching itself as the franchise with the largest number of Dojo updates--11 so far. By contrast, the Mario series has had 8 and that's assuming you count Petey Piranha (I do), with everything else having 6 or less. Whether this means anything or not, I don't know, but just saying.

No, but being in Poke Balls proves much more. They could have used 4th Gen for background only. Just like how (I think) Animal Crossing characters in the background will be background only.
