I wanted an EBA vs Ouendan crossover game which was exactly like a regular EBA game, except the two different groups rivaled each other. Unfortunately, they already did that with the blonde squad in Ouendan 2.

Well I'd also like to see some of the characters in the stories make a comeback. They really grow on you after awhile.

Like the story with Lucy and her dead dad that still doesn't make me tear up. Seriously. I promise it didn't.

I'm still holding out for one of these

Crono as a playable character
Leon from RE4 playable
Golden Sun playable character or AT

I'm not that hopeful, though :(

mario kart stage was removed from the game, just like the crouching mechanic

I think pakbeka was being sarcastic and poking fun at those who worry that a feature has been taken out just because we haven't seen anything about it for a while.
At least I hope so.

Like the people that think Luigi is out.

Of course, Luigi is going to be in the game. It'd be silly for him not to be.

Should we start the E-B-A clap and hope they
explode out of a statue to the tune of Jumping Jack Flash
into Brawl?

That would be the best update of the month other than Spectator.

I, personally, don't see her being playable. I dunno. Just a hunch.. I'm probably wrong.

But my theory is that there's a "Star Fox Team" AT that comes in and shoots while speaking dialog. Kinda like that "secret" in Melee with Fox.

Would be cool if ROB64 sent down an item box ala-SF64

To be honest, I don't see Krystal being playable either. In terms of prestige, Star Fox doesn't really warrant three characters if Donkey Kong's only getting two while Metroid and F-Zero might not even be getting that many (with Goroh out, Black Shadow's probably the last hope for F-Zero).

Ugh, I can finally post.

The bad updates we had this month don't bother me that much. I know December will be one of the greatest ones ever. If CoroCoro reveals the starting (?) roster on December 15th (not sure about the date, correct me if I'm wrong) then I have hopes for Captain Falcon before December. It'll be at least one good thing for November, but if he isn't revealed, it won't really matter.

If some character that isn't Geno makes it in Brawl, I hope it doesn't annihilate every chance Geno (I would've said Mallow, but nobody seems to like the guy =/) has at being in the game. With that Mario RPG 2 rumor, anything is possible now! :)

Well anyway, just wanted to clear that up. There's so many things I wanted to say. I've been reading the forums for so long, but the wait for my account to be activated made me forget most of them.

Er, you'd better edit a certain part of your post mentioned right before Geno or you may be waiting to post on GAF a couple more weeks. >_> See the thread title and all that.

Also, Mallow is excellent.

Oh yeah, i remember how nice it was when i could post here for the first time. It would have sucked to be banned with my first post though :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Alas, poor Cedric.
I knew him well.
And things come full circle, as the thread title can once again say "Now with Hamlet." (Which was actually the second change ever made to the thread title, incidentally, the first being "Now with Wi-Fi." I should have tracked this stuff every day, but alas, the rest of the changes are probably lost to the ages.)

Not to say strict, but that particular rule is sort of weird, I guess. I'll avoid mentioning him from now on. Anyway, thanks for the warnings. =) It would of sucked to get banned after only one post. =P

I can post all the changes if you want them.

God DAMMIT. NO, NO, a THOUSAND TIMES NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just fucking misquoted the most fucking misquoted line in fucking Shakespearean history. No, the Cedric part doesn't bother mean, you're obviously TRYING to reference Hamlet Act 1, Scene V where he says "Alas, poor Yorick. I knew him, HORATIO" That is, HORATIO dammit, HORATIO! "a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy."

Keep in mind these entries in the edit log are "thread title changed from" so the person you see editing the thread changed it from what was before it to what you see in the entry.

So you can see Evilore changed the thread title to "SONIC SONIC SONIC" and the "Hi, I'm sp0rsk" culprit was indeed Amir0x

Crouching is a character specific feature now...? Weird... I suppose crouching was never very useful in Smash, so cutting it allows them to avoid creating a few needless animations, but it still seems odd.

No, all characters can croutch, they just can't all crawl.
Crawling, like wall jumping, it only usable by some characters.

He doesn't mean ducking, he means, like, Wario's ability to walk while crouching or Snake's ability to crawl on the ground.

Awesome, thanks. :D Saved into Word and such.

Crouch-canceling was pretty excellent in SSBM, arguably the best kind of directional influence there was. Even for people who didn't use that, I know Jigglypuff could duck under Fox/Falco lasers, and I'm guessing Kirby, Pichu, and possibly Pikachu were also small enough for it.

Act V, scene 1, actually.

I agree, but calm down.

sp0rsk, you better edit that post or el... oh wait.
And here I was hoping the Ami title change would've been more stealthy lame

Well. My prediction for today is we finally get a title change! And an item. A regular ol' item.

(e) I totally predicted that without reading what sp0rsk said. Seriously.

I had an English major friend who called Shakespeare "the rapper of his day." I didn't ask him to elaborate, which in hindsight I regret--but knowing his own creative works, my inclination would be to think he meant that Shakespeare wrote loads and loads of individually-good lines, scenes, and characters which in spite of their quality only sporadically added up to a particularly compelling story arc.

I suppose I don't necessarily disagree, but then, I've never run into a story arc I've enjoyed. Character-driven stories > plot-driven stories, now and forever.

I quote this for it is true.

Shakespeare was, in all honesty, never really about the storyline, per se. Many of his plays were modeled after historical events and legends that would have been familiar to the viewers of his plays in his day. People more or less knew what was going to happen. I mean, in Romeo and Juliet, the fact that
they die and their deaths end the feud between the Montagues and Capulets
is even told in the play's prologue. Rather, the strength of Shakespeare is in the method that the stories are told; through his brilliant dialogue and language.

Agreed. I never actually got Shakespeare until I went to college and took a class on Later Shakes, which ran from Hamlet up to his final play. The teacher so loved each and every work that every lecture was a brilliant one and his love became infectious. It was this teacher that taught me to love historical crit.

Oh well, in honor of this thread, I shall be watching the MST3k version of Hamlet.

Shakespeare wrote the plot for the Subspace Emissary.

Mario: Once-a more unto the breach-a, dear friends, once more, or close the wall-a up with our Nintendo dead!

Not only will smashbros combine all I love about Nintendo, it will also cater to my english degree! The day is won!

Smash Bros. attracts a rather large number of English majors. Jiggy, myself, and now Crowphoenix.

Good to hear. So much greatness. Now I just have to find a school with a good modernist/post-modernist masters program so I can progress beyond my temp job of auditing transcripts for my uni.

Anyway, you guys know my prediction for tomorrow. That's right. Beef Jerky-- an item that restores one point of health every second for thirty seconds.
