Where are the Pikmin items?
Like, flowers, that sprout and stuff, with the numbered pellets.
And you can throw the pellets around to hurt people.
Or you can feed it to the onion, and you get helpful Pikmins.
And you can have a pikmin army. And stuff.

Imagine hanging to a ledge, 20 feet down, by a chain of purple Pikmin.

Better yet, the item could be the whistle, and you aim it at someone, and hold A to blow the whistle, then random colors of Pikmin attack whoever is in the whistle's area. Possibly lifting them up and tossing them off the ledge.

You couldn't move backwards at all in melee, this information is pretty significant. It also supports the ideas a lot of people have had about the crawling wario did in one of the trailers. He was moving unlike anything that's possible in melee, so people were wondering exactly what was different to allow that movement.

It's definitely a big change.

When the Star Man appears, it's a race to get it! Whoever touches it becomes immune to all attacks for a short period of time! It is a powerful item that can quickly turn the tide of battle!

The mine makes its triumphant return. You may remember the mine from that Nintendo-published game in which you could plant mines everywhere. If a character steps on it, BOOM! Wow!
