hm, interesting I guess. Nothing significant, but it is something new at least.

Up until now, standard combos, or button-press combos, were done primarily by tapping the attack button repeatedly.

That won’t change in Brawl, but now you can also just hold down the attack button to automatically do consecutive standard attacks.

It will vary a bit by character, of course, but in the case of Fox...

Press and hold the attack button to do consecutive jabs.

Press the button repeatedly, or just start hitting your enemy to initiate the combo.

You’ll transition smoothly into his Rapid Kick!

The game will be compatible with a variety of controllers, so I’ve gone a tad easier on the button pressing.

Of course, each character will have variations. While some may do repeated rapid jabs, others may simply do three slow swipes with a blade.

Meta Knight is somewhat unique. His standard attack is an unbelievably rapid sequence of slices. Just press and hold the button to unleash a rampage.

I seem to remember Marth being able to just hold down A for repeated swipes, so I guess this is kinda cool. It's not such a great update, though, since it's impossible to get a feel for without playing it...

wtf, it doesnt appear for US site, but for others it does.

Loaded just fine for me, maybe Utah isnt part of the US anymore?

Try shift + refresh, mabbe that helps

There it is.

I guess they need to make it easier for the new players. Its good that theres more moves, an ok update.

How is this a "meh update"?
Only SSB-noobs here?

It´s quite a change in gameplay, and i think i´ll have a hard time getting used to it. Just holding the button and doing attacks, that´ll be great against enemies that flew over the edge of a stage :-)

The only way this will affect gameplay is if it means an end to prolonged attacks.

and it won't. Just a way to start them with one press. This won't affect competitive battles at all, assuming it's still easy to avoid going into the rapid attack loop.

Not quite as great as the good old edge-hogging, though. :P

I don't think this will change things too much since you'll probably still be able to do combos with rapid button presses as well as holding the A button down.
