Tails > Sonic. It's that whole secondary effect that also explains why Luigi > Mario and Daisy > Peach.

Also because Tails was the awesomest character in Sonic 3 & Knuckles which in my fact is the best platformer ever created.

Tails needs to lose his voice fast though. Like, talk through signs or something.

This thread got really fucking disturbing fast.
I just realized that a whole new page cropped up and passed by in the two hours I was gone, and... wow. Looking back, you're very right.

No Tails, no Knuckles, no one else but Sonic.

And really, the only reason why Sonic should be in this game is because he had a good run on the Genesis. Now though, that character doesn't deserve to lick the boots of games like this.

Are we still predicting updates and stuff? I'm out of this thread for a day and everything...well, back on topic: I predict a non-megaton. Ice Climbers's Move Set of something.

On the topic of Tails, I was pretty much forced to like him, becuz I would play with my older cousin when I was younger. Him being Sonic, me Tails. So for a good part of my early Sonic experiences, I was the side-kick doing alot of suicidal stunts. :D

Let's say Megaman in his X form is put in the game. Which level(s) would you want represented from the X series? Personally I would want a mashup of the stages from the original megaman x

You've got the highway with cars driving by that knock you over, storm eagle's stage with platforms and gusts of wind blowing you around, the penguin's stage which has a slippery floor, the octopus' stage under water where everyone's jumps are magnified, flame mammoth's stage where globs of lava go across the stage on a conveyer belt, spark mandrill's stage where bolts of electricity fly across the ground, boomer kuwanger's stage with elevators and scrolling platforms, armored armadillo's stage where everyone is fighting on a runaway cart in a mine, sting chameleon's stage with sticky floors, and the finale of a sigma-ish final destination where he's in the background and there are three platforms battlefield style.

Not only does the original have awesome stages and themes, but the music is amazing. It has some of my favorite songs for any video game.

Intro Stage
Storm Eagle
Chill Penguin
Launch Octopus
Spark Mandrill
Flame Mammoth
Armored Armadillo
Boomer Kuwanger
Sting Chameleon

Since we've seen text boxes for mr reseti and for the pokemon final smash, maybe even a cameo of zero talking about fighting being terrible and how it's necessary in their world or something.

I might be biased because Megaman x is the greatest game ever made, but I definitely think it would be the best stage/music combo in any game ever

I can't tolerate Tails in any shape or form. Sonic is more passable, but only a lil' bit.

Soo...Ness/Lucas/Capt. Falcon tonight. Yes, triple character prediction. Why? Because I can. :D
Dude, come on, Tails is awesome. It was a blast to be the second player and kamikaze enemies as him with the other controller.

I'm thinking Ness or The Knee tonight, too.

The promise of Storm Eagle's stage and its sweet, sweet music would be the only reason I'd ever want X over Mega Man. And I'm not even sure that would do it--because thanks to having multiple tracks per stage, they could probably put in some MMX themes whether or not X was in.

i agree , thanks for those mp3 links. But yeah , if megaman were to be in Brawl , it should definitely be the Storm eagle level.

OK so it's not as creepy as the Sonic threads, but this one is so much better.
I didn't come in this thread expecting to be traumatized. ~____~;;;

I just wanted to put in another prayer for Pikmin.

Don't care for Sonic and Tails, really. I came to the realization a while ago that I hate their games.

Wouldn't mind seeing Sonic in for the sheer "OMG WHUT" factor, though.

About my earlier post, some one hit it. When the writers come together to pick a GOTY for any category, chances are they are going to pick something serious, like Shadow of the Colossus or Bioshock. Those two games are awesome games, but I feel that more lighthearted games get slighted. I have no idea why.

I really don't take Shadow or Bioshock anymore seriously than I do Katamari or Loco Roco, although the first two have excellent story lines for games. In the end, it's all about the game, and how much enjoyment I derive from it. I'm not asking for everyone to have my tastes. I would like reviewers to consider actual fun, though.

Brawl is a sequel, a 2.5D, 4 player fighter featuring Nintendo's family friendly cast, with special guests.

So what?

The gameplay is rock solid. The single player already looks awesome and will suck up tons of time. People will gladly replay as every character to get every trophy and unlockable. The unlockables themselves will take hours upon hours to unlock, and are fun to get, whether deliberately or accidentally. The characters look great, play well (if the previous installments are any indication) and feature creative movesets.

The multiplayer, the focus of any fighter, shines, allowing from extreme variety in play styles, from uber casual to rock hard hardcore. Ranging from "GIANT INVISIBLE METAL ALL ITEMS ON HIGH ON HYRULE TEMPLE 5 STOCK 6 MINUTE LIMIT" to "No items, Fox only, Final Destination" it's a game that can suit anyone of any skill level.

I began to think about this because of Halo 3. The Halo series is excellent, although not my cup of tea. I range from "suck" to "slightly competent" in shooters, but I can admire the controls and the effort put into these games, and can appreciate that they are genuinely fun. Halo 3 brings lots of new things to the game, like Forge and Theater, not to mention new weapons, old, rebalanced weapons, new stages, new modes of play, and an improved story mode.

This game will get, or has gotten, 9.5 to 10s across the board, and will definitely be in many, if not all, reviewer's top 5.

I see it as a very similar situation to Brawl, in terms of gaming experience. The single player is much improved, lots of new things added to the game, and the multiplayer, already excellent, just got a lot better. Why the hell won't Brawl be considered?

I will enjoy the game, regardless of what people on magazines declare it to be, or not to be (bring back Hamlet). Brawl will probably end up being of the best selling games on the Wii without a doubt. I'll spend hours upon hours for the next 6 years on this game.

It just bothers me a bit that it'll be dismissed, from what I can tell.

"It's a good game, fun fighter, Nintendo fan service, will sell lots, looks nice. Good job, Nintendo."

vs

"HOLY SHIT HALO 3 IS THE BEST THING EVER OMG ARGHGGH"

Where's the hype from the press? : (

Am I being unreasonable?

Ugh. Bullshit. It still doesn't have a way to set a Best of 3 or anything.

Sakurai knows I exist!
Chozo Ruins next update confirmed.

They should have an option so that for example, if its 4 people fighting per match, the top 2 can go through rather than just the one.
