Well, it may not be entirely untrue - they've put in far too many Animal Crossing-related things, for instance, to not include a character. No series (besides Smash) that doesn't have a character announced yet has this many updates, not even F-Zero.

This stage looks pretty good the more I think of it. The text box at the bottom is actually the platform. It's always there. It's not a moving stage. The elements pop up like on Pokemon Stadium. This could potentially be a pretty balanced stage. Only issue I see is that the floor and sides seem too close to the platform.

If the stuff is sufficiently spaced, this could be the new "Pokemon Stadium". I love how a lot of these stages change so no one character has the advantage the whole time
