I see a soccer ball. If its just a normal soccer ball that you can kick around I'm all for it. That would be a great item.

nah, I don't want to hear all the music before I get the game. Half the fun is in being surprised by new stuff that's in there.

And music is maybe the one thing I don't want spoiled TOO much. After Galaxy I see the true power of MUSIC. If only the music here be at least half as epic.

Don't even get me started. Galaxy's music gave me chills left and right (yeah, I'm nerdy like that I guess).

They did a reprise on my favorite theme (Gusty Garden) like 3 times (When it suddenly popped in during the middle of the Purple Coin Challenge song I literally said 'Oh shit, oh no they DIDN'T!'), it's enough for me to say "Best Mario Soundtrack Ever".

Yeah I'm pretty sure Gusty Garden is the best score in the game. The only thing that possibly rivals it is Egg Planet and the end credit theme. I liked the idea of a Galaxy themed level in Smash, but have grown to love it realizing that we'd be getting remixed Galaxy songs in the bundle. We reallllllllly need a Gusty Garden stage!

I agree. Tingle already has a legacy as a WTF character anyway, and his future looks bright (Team behind Freshly Picked said that they're going to continue to force Tingle down Western throats, even if he won't be appearing in any future Zelda titles).

Oh, and yeah, I have a feeling that Krystal is round the corner too. Can't wait for the thread to explode. Lol.

Yes, but the best part of the end credits theme was the slow reprise of Gusty Garden in the middle

With that said it might be safe to say that Gusty Garden is the official 'song' of Mario Galaxy.

With the drought of character updates this month I'd honestly be happy to get a Krystal update.

Welcome back, Angelo. A lot of stuff went down while you were on walk-about.

I honestly can't think of what to say about today's update. It's almost like tingle so bad it becomes awesome. I mean seriously, that's two of Ike's color changes right there. And the smart bob is an awesome new item. I can see me killing myself every time I use it.
 
Nice update.
Poor Electrode. Although, to be honest, this pokemon gets the short end of the stick all too often...

Just curious, does anyone still have that internet archive page of the character polls from Smash 64 that mentioned things like Sigurd and James Bond? It was like two pages. Had Mallow and Geno on it too.

Now I understand!! Much like Sakurai unveiled Sonic to appease us before the delay was unveiled, the recent rash of crappy updates is warming us up to the impending arrival of Krystal! It's so genius and yet so evil!!
 
Doesn't this update kind of confirm that the Final Smash Ball is an item, inferring that it can be turned off? Did we already know this and I'm just slow?

And I construe that to mean that you can drop Final Smash Balls from the pause menu like you can with other items. And if Final Smash Balls are treated like other items, then presumably you can turn them off! Hard core players rejoice.

Does anyone else think this makes sense or am I stretching too much?
 
Training mode allows more than one player to play at the same time, right?

So potentially you could have one Final Smash vs. another Final Smash?

It totally makes sense that smash balls are items and can be turned off / on. I wouldn't expect it any other way, and I'm sure Sakurai knows that.
 
Well, since this week's updates have been, well, lackluster... I thought I would mention that I love Peach's design here. The Melee one was god awful, imo. >.>
 
since i was banned for a week for being wario64's sacrificial bitch, my thoughts on recent updates. I like spectator mode alot, considering theres gonna be less megatons from now to the game is released, spectator is pretty note worthy. I like IC's Final Smash alot, seems to be quite hard to avoid (depends on how fast the iceberg comes up really i suppose) and i like the freeze effect.

Everything else, very meh..

oh, I vouch for KOS-MOS!!

I'm surprised that people voted for Popo and Nana together, though. I mean, it's not like they really worked together in the actual NES game.
 
I'm amazed that James Bond was a more popular Rare choice than Banjo/Kazooie and Diddy Kong combined. I had no idea he was particularly popular in Japan. I mean, beating Banjo I could see, but Diddy?

Pichu would be a megaton for me. Because, honestly, it's right up there with Roy at the top of the list of characters that basically everybody expects to be gone... if Pichu hasn't been cut then it would give us pretty decent reason to assume that nearly everybody from Melee made it back. Ness, Marth, Mewtwo, Sheik, Falco, etc.
 
Watch, Pichu would come with a final smash update and be the most broken thing in the game. Unavoidable 200% damage electricity all over the screen. >_>

Mewtwo does have a chance, albet kinda small....That would put a lot of Pokemon in the game as characters. At least, he'll be a AT.
 
I dont see why Mewtwo has a small chance of getting in Brawl, his chance of getting in is as good as Ice Climbers, Zelda etc... He was unique but crappy, just buff him up a bit and he's srt!

Why do that when there's another character that is blue, from the 4th generation, can talk, stars in movie, name is a combination of Lucas and Mario, can be put in his place.
 
The other best thing about Pichu was that it had completely different taunts when facing left or right, but of course now that's a feature for everybody.
