-Saki fills the role of 12th Dojo-confirmed assist trophy, when counting Lakitu. This puts assist trophies on a level with normal items, kind of, except that items also have some stealth confirmations like the soccer ball and the stopwatch that I haven't factored in because I have no idea what they do or if they even serve as unique items.

-Our six least recent types of updates are now Poke Ball, character profile, story mode, stage, and a tie between music and special moves.

-Incidentally, those six types are also the only ones that haven't appeared this week. If you want to assume that no types will be repeated this week, take your best predictions at which of the six it'll be. Pessimists, go with Poke Ball. Tis ok. A character will be bestowed upon us sooner or later. I just went out several months ago to get new cube controllers for Brawl. Some of my old GC controller's wires messed up, so I had to go out hunting and I don't think I'd throw my controller over an update.

For decent updates this month, I'd say Fox's Misfortune, the Fire Emblem theme, Gray Fox, Lucas' moves, the Halberd remix, Spectator, color changes, and Saki were good enough.

Any other month since June, though, and this would be scraping the bottom of the barrel.
July - Four new stages, assist trophy megaton, E3 movie, footstool jumps.
August - Three newcomers, Subspace Emissary, gliding, the Wario Ware stage, Go K.K Rider.
October - Super blatant awesome, I'm not going over this again.

And September was also pretty mediocre compared to July, August, and October, but it at least had the two megatons of My Music and Wi-Fi Play, plus an intro to the Subspace Emissary enemies, MGS4 music, and the gigaton Piplup.

November? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh... Even the very best of November can't compare to any of the above stuff.

Yeah i hope so as well, maybe there be a new game mode where you can play around with the ATs as a water-down version of playable characters (i.e. no final smash, limited no. of moves etc) of course, not all ATs will be useful (i.e. Resetti or Devil/Dmeon), maybe just the 'fighting' ones.

Like, for example, Vectorman, Bonk, King Arthur, the Golden Axe characters e.t.c.?

The Metroid assist trophy IS true -- I saw it myself.

I did not see the reported "Tails" or "Pokey" trophies, though, and I'm somewhat suspicious that any third party assist trophy would have been in the E for All build.

The Sin & Punishment trophy was in the E for All build, as was the Metroid.

Nice to see this update confirming Saki, and add me to the ranks of those who think that the little nudges about wishing ATs were playable in recent updates are interesting.

BTW – for anyone still complaining about “boring” updates, think of it like this: at the very least, we get a good 25-30-odd new screenshots each and every week

well i guess i owe an excuse to you guys for everytime i called bogus when people said there was a sin & punishment AT
i still think it's a stupid choice,saki is not a nintendo character and i'm not even sure how much popular is sin & punishment in japan though i guess it's popular enough to warranty an entry in brawl
really this is the equivalent of squarenix putting bub & bob (which are taito character and in fact i'm pretty sure the two fella are more recognizable than saki) in itadaki street
the only reason i can think for this move is that they are really thinking into resurrecting the franchise and they forced him like they did for roy in melee

Well, Banjo once was a Nintendo character. Nevertheless, Sin&Punishment is a Nintendo game developed by Treasure, all content belongs to Nintendo. You might want to compare it to Eternal Darkness.
