I know it's been asked before, but is Krystal really that bad of a character? I understand she's become something of a folk legend in this thread as a harbinger of bad gaming, but still, I wouldn't mind her inclusion at all.

Bowser Jr. gets too much hate, he kinda sucked in Sunshine but he was fine in New SMB and Galaxy.

I want a new character, new stage, new music, and new game mode (Captain Olimar/Forest of Hope/Pikmin main song/Boss Rush mode)

Also, we need a space level for Kirby - there's been a space level in many, many games, but we've never seen anything in the way of space levels.

As for all the Krystal hate, I actually want her in as a character, as long as she uses the staff from SFA. SSB has plenty of sword figthers, and I thought they were going to make Pitt into a staff fighter, but they gave him a weapon that's a staff, bow and double swords. A character with a completely staff based moveset would be awesome, and Krystal has the background and notoriety that makes her a valid character choice. I understand all the Krystal hate, but why would we want her to be out of a game she'd actually be good in?
I agree about Cloud though. There are about 7 better choices for an SE character than Cloud, or, in fact, anyone from an FF after VI.

Last night's assist was pretty cool but yeah, tonight should be a character update. C'mon Captain Olimar, KK Rider, or some surprise 3rd party character like Bonk, Simon Belmont, or maybe Francesca from the classic Krion Conquest.

The ire towards Krystal by and large comes from her fanbase, which can be summed up with this:justchris said:

All the Koopa kids were the same damn thing anyway. I don't know where people get them having a personality, they were just there to fill a generic boss role. Now Bowser Jr. might be too predictable in terms of design (akin to Waluigi) but he's gotten fleshed out since his debut 3 Marios ago. He's definately someone you could recognize at this point.

Difficulty sliders. I know it's coming. I will not let it take me by surprise.
I was actually looking for my old post on the rate of posting a couple days ago, but I couldn't find it through a search... I'll compile some new statistics about it after the update tonight (and with some kind of marker I can use to search for easily), but yeah, suffice it to say that we've slowed down significantly compared to the past two months.

And it's not their fault they didn't get much personailty in the games back at the time becusse of the limits of technology. Mario has gotten way more Cinamatic then he use used to be after all.
