I know you had to unlock him in the original SSB, did you have to unlock him also in Melee? I don't remember...

I hated Yoshi's Island and Brinstar, but Corneria, Rainbow Ride, and especially Onett are excellent by me.
Incidentally, I'm trying to figure out how to factor this in to the statistics: it's not really a quintuple update, but it does manage to represent five franchises and--unlike the other Melee Stages update--it does show their symbols.

LOL! Guess were Pokemon Trainer is standing in the Metroid stage. At least he dodges the lava.

Hmm, rather than make a new Star Fox stage, they're just bringing back Corneria...

When I think about it, most of the Melee stages I like can easily be replaced with the exception of Rainbow Cruise. I love that stage as it embodies the freedom of movement I can get in Smash Bros. Even off the wall levels like the Pokemon level in 64 were brought back in the making of Fourside, so I'd rather see what new things they can do, although I'm sure people will love that so many Past Stages are coming back.

But I get to have fun in Rainbow Cruise again...

They chose some great stages to bring back. It's amazing to see how well these stages hold up in terms of looks too, despite being previous gen.

I like Onett and Corneria a lot, but I could take or leave Rainbow Cruise and Zebes-or-I-mean-Brinstar, and I was never too hot on whatever that Yoshi stage is called.
