Yoshi’s Island = win, even though someone from the Jump Fiesta already betrayed it by mentioning that "Athletic" was in the game.

I really hope they have more larger, as well as more interesting/less battle field like levels too.
 
Look on the bright side, guys: even if you hate Brinstar (I do) or Rainbow Cruise (I don't, at all) or Yoshi's Island (I do), at least this means their music should be available in My Music as selections for other stages that you might like. :D
 
I'm still a little disappointed that they didn't revamp the graphics for these stages... but maybe I'm just greedy. :/

My two favorite Melee stages are officially in brawl (Hyrule Temple and Corneria), so I'm still happy despite this criticism.

Yoshi has always has his own symbol. It's strange that the stage is associated with Yoshi though, because technically it's from a Mario game.

It would be sooo cool if he was flying on the back of some sort of flying pokemon...... but I have a feeling he's just going to have AI that lets him jump from platform to platform just like the normal characters.

Don't worry my friend, you aren't alone.

Most people seem to hate non-battlefield levels, as it means they're just stage hazard levels, meaning you can die very, very easily if you're not careful.

imdb tends to be really inaccurate UNTIL a title is actually released. It has a long history of fake fan-edits and additions.

(Someone even mentioned earlier in this thread that before Ocarina of Time came out, 50 Cent was credited as the voice of Epona :lol )

Corneria, Yoshi's Island and Rainbow Ride are all great stuff, too. What I find interesting that Metroid, of all series, is tied with Mario for the highest number of confirmed stages thus far.

I wouldn't get excited yet. Phony credits show up on IMDB all the time. Wasn't 50 Cent given as the voice of Epona in Twilight Princess at one point?
 
Eh? I just realized they renamed Rainbow Cruise to Rainbow Ride, although there's a chance I've had it wrong for the last seven years.

No, that was its name in Melee. Maybe they wanted to adjust to the correct Mario 64 name.
 
To add to my previous statement, Melee Corneria is probably the most welcome edition, because fighting on the Great Fox was one of the best stages in both Smash 64 and Melee.

Could be a pre-determined path (and speed) he follows to make his jumps so he is always ahead of the falling platforms?

I dunno, it will be interesting to see how they handle it

Holy shit, I'm WAAAAAAAAAAY lttp, I didn't even notice it updated. Glad to see some awesome choices, though I wish it was the other Earthbound level. :(

I can understand that, but we've seen so many battlefield type levels already. Need something more unique.

Sadly, so was I. Leon was always my favourite member of Star Wolf, until they gave him a Gollum-ripoff voice in Assault. But I loved how suave he was in Star Fox 64.

That Krystal listing was taken from the voice actresses official website, so it is accurate. (She listed ZSS and Knuckle Joe as well)

However we do not know if that necessarily means Krystal speaks as a playable character, or just an AT. (Or maybe just in a cutscene in adventure mode)

She does have good chances of being playable, though. :P Be wary, Krystal-haters!

Eh, I think I'd put Rainbow Cruise Ride a little above decent. It deserves props for the great music and original stage design, and it's quite fun to play in multiplayer so long as there aren't any computers involved. The AI has a really difficult time keeping up with moving stages... hopefully that's fixed for Brawl, especially if they'll be taking over for disconnected online opponents. But Brinstar, ugh, terrible stage [and the typical Metroid Lava thing as well, EXACTLY what we need more of in Brawl!]. Yoshi's Island is just about the worst stage in the game, and Onett, while a nice Earthbound representation, isn't very fun to play either. I 100% agree with you on Corneria though: Sector Z would be much preferred.

I'm not completely sure on this one, but I have a hard time believing that the returning stages [apart from Temple] are a good representation of the most popular / well liked stages from Melee. They aren't even the most original ones, either. If they were going for awesome, original stage designs, Big Blue, Mute City, Poke Floats, and Great Bay would have been far better choices over anything on that list except for RR and maybe Onett. And for popular stages: Yoshi's Island? Brinstar? Really?. I have a hard time believing that they'd be on very many people's favourite stages lists, let alone the majority of Melee fans. Here's hoping we get some decent Smash 64 stages at least [Dreamland 64, Mushroom Kingdom, and Saffron City please!] to balance this stuff out. And a Fountain of Dreams remake, if he isn't keeping any more returning Melee stages hidden from us.
