The video compression is killing me but the game looks great.

Looking at the fire area in particular, it definitely seems like the main thing that's taken a hit in the Switch port is lighting effects. Still, if that gets it running at 1080p30 on the system, I'd take it.

I think the Joy-Cons are what sell this game on Switch. But I'll either get it on PS4 or PC first for 60 FPS. And then maybe double dip when the Switch version eventually goes on sale.
The snake looks like an animated asset.
As in not convincing in any way.

The footage was captured live, from hardware.
I don't think those are 60 FPS either, mate.

I could be mistaken actually, older trailers didn't look 60 at all to me."Those?"
Why wouldn't PC be 60fps?
Not sure what you're meaning here. The snake is fully physics driven and you need to actually move like a real snake to be able to move forward, coiling and releasing to move across the ground. Its pretty impressive actually.
If you mean the face... Its directly controlled by the player, so hard to get the face to match the head exactly, but I think they've done a pretty damn good job
It's the unfocused stareI was talking about the face and how it doesn't actually look alive.
I guess thats true.
