So about that Brie Larson ET Avengers interview...

Watch as she continues to win over the hearts of the masses, including costars Don Cheadle and Chris Hemsworth.

The original:

Postmortem analysis:

Before I had seen this, I saw people saying that the three of them were being purposely snarky with each other. I guess to some extent that's true, but after seeing the whole thing unedited, I can see why people are making fun of her over it. She comes off poorly yet again.

Brie Larson: "I did, I did--(touches ear) I did my stunts. I thought that that's what everyone did."

Chris Hemsworth: "Oh, give it a--Tom Cruise over here?"

Brie Larson: "I'll be the first me, not the next Tom Cruise, thank you very much."

Chris Hemsworth: "He does his own stunts, you know?"

Did this really happen? Was she this far up her own ass?

Either she's just fully committed to this unlikable persona and doesn't care, or it's just who she really is deep down and isn't gonna change.

I don't hate her, she doesn't anger me (or hasn't yet) but she lacks real charisma and it's a shame.

Short Term 12 basically introduced to me her and that movie was impactful for me, I don't think she's a bad actress by any stretch but she's just not "Marvel Material" imo. Charisma and charm just aren't there both on screen and off screen.

I wonder what the co-stars truly think about her, behind closed doors and whatnot. I wonder how it's like to work with her on set.

God I'm pumped for Endgame, but I hope she just doesn't ruin every scene she is in.

LOL, top comment on first video: pretty sure they have a group chat where larson isn't included. Ouch at the spot where Cheadle says "don't touch me, I thought I told you not to touch me."

Captain Marvel, the movie, was fine. As I said at the time, the problem is Brie Larson, the person. That will be a headache for Marvel going forward as they want Captain Marvel front and center and recasting now would be tricky.

Aside from it being a terrible interview I'm not seeing the "conflict". All 3 appeared to be bored with the interview, gave nothing insightful, and just rambled about various topics.

I didn't see the conflict. When you have to create a video to see reactions you're creating a narrative. Although she did say some awkward shit, they didn't seem to dislike her.

Larson seems set on becoming the next Katherine Heigl. Also, is Hemsworth part giraffe? His neck is soooooo long. :messenger_open_mouth:

Seems like Jeremy Renner is sitting next to a grenade by the look of his face in another interview.

This is all an act and people are buying into it. Just look at how happy it's making people feel that don't like her. They are all playing it up to the crowd for red meat and it's smart.

The hemsworth and cheadle interview i could give a pass as simply trying to stir the pot and rivalry but the Renner interview is the nail in the coffin....gonna be interesting seeing how the you know who crowd view this

She might just think this stuff is beneath her as an Oscar winning actress. Jennifer Lawrence seemed like she hated being in xmen too.

It seems to me they're (Hemsworth, Larson, Cheadle) clearly having fun with each other. Renner may not get along with Larson well, but you're inevitably going to have some of those strained relationships in any environment.
