Wow, uhh... Ami holds strong opinions, and he can be very forward in discussions, but I never thought it would boil over and lead to something like this. Color me 97% surprised.
Also, that tag change: Ouch.

Nah, he was pretty bad as a mod. I've been banned all of three times in the 7+ years I've been around here and one was from him over something entirely petty, personal, and having nothing to do with the ToS in the least. I didn't rat him out, though. Forum drama. Whatever.

Evilore is part of the pro PC master race crowd. But I respect him for putting neogaf itself above those sorts of shenanigans.

I'll be honest, even after reading a few of the posts in question, I'm still clueless as to what he supposedly did.

What happened in layman's terms?
 
Stump, Opiate, Eatchildren, and blacklace are the sites best mods IMO.

Hard arguments is when you add something to the discussion. Amir0x hardly ever added anything to his "discussions" other than "Nintendo sold out!" and 'Motion controls suck". And they were never done for the sake of discussion, but to get reactions. Hence trolling.

His usual shtick.

Trolled users and/or talked to them rudely. Edited and/or deleted his posts hoping noone would see. If the user called him out he'd ban them and give himself a lol. But unfortunately the user caught him in the act with the edit subpar and the use of printscreen.
 
I hope he still keeps posting here. Guy is very opionated, writes well and makes interesting points so while he might not have been the best mod he was still great poster.
 
Holy shit I'm reading through the 3DS thread. WOW. Kato pretty much ended Amir0x's mod reign. Never seen that kind of mod ousting and mod drama on GAF before. Madness...
 
I want to know the real Nirolak. He needs to do an auto biography or something. There's more to him behind properly organizing threads and posting every bit of gaming news. I want feel his emotions.
 
Not only are the new mods great, but the bad ones (Cant believe people want Dragona back) are being rooted out. Its a good time to post in GAF.
 
Sad to hear about Amirox but what he did was unethical. I still think he's a bit more reasonable than most other GAFfers. Plus his analysis on some games are pretty spot on. Hope to hear more contributions from him in the future.

Basically, if Kato hadn't taken screenshots of Ami's old posts calling various people liars (which Ami edited just recently), he probably would have gotten away with it. It's a big breach of integrity and an abuse of mod privileges.

Yes, for sure. A little mod bootlicking combined with Amir0x's fall from power also makes a great segue into my and The_Technomancer's plans to run in the mod primaries for the 2012 NeoGAF elections.

Kidding aside, NeoGAF seriously has excellent staff. The trains run on time, the bans and thread locks generally land when and where they're needed, and all the modmins are as friendly and personable as you could ask for. You people do great work!

i've always wondered WHO permajuniored me
