I've always generally liked Amir0x's moderating style. I think he usually made a concerted effort to be fair and for a while was a great limiting factor in some of the worst excesses of Poligaf.

I think there was nothing wrong with his modding, but his posting style was far too agressive for someone wearing the red imo.

Sad to hear about Amirox but what he did was unethical. I still think he's a bit more reasonable than most other GAFfers.

Sort of how I feel. I hate saying he was my least favorite mod (I mean, we're all human beings after all), but he was only my least favorite because of his posts, not his moderation. I've seen mods here ban people because they misinterpret a post and completely take it negatively (that nobody else misinterprets because they took the one or two seconds to think about it), but I haven't seen Amir0x do that.

I will also forever look up to him for his major weight loss, though. Inspirational stuff.

Man, end of an era indeed. Amirox wasn't my favorite mod, but he was definitely the most entertaining. He was basically the fun uncle and the other mods' more like your dad. You knew that he was often being an asshat, but it was fun watching someone in power acting that way.

Also I agree with him close to 100% of the time. This is actually really disappointing, I felt like I respected the guy and then he goes and pulls shit like this. Are there more examples of him editing posts to make himself look better in the 3DS thread? Pretty petty shit. I hope he keeps posting but that pretty embarrassing, and personally even if I deserved it I'd resent being stripped of mod power, so I'm not counting on it.

I don't really have an opinion on most of the mods because I don't interact with them. But I do remember Amir0x getting angry in an anime convention thread and telling us about how we was going to beat up some people who said his sister looked bad in her costume or something. That seemed kind of crazy to me.

Only mods I do know to any level are Kagari, and Duckroll, and I have no qualms with them, and generally can see where they're coming from. Stump seems like a cool guy as well from his posts, but I don't believe I've ever actually talked to him.

Yeah, this is kind of how I feel. He participated in both stern, reasonable modding and aggressive, off-putting regular posts. I think the overlap between those two is what did him in.
