I´m very interested in this game, and have read some reviews, but I´d like to know if anyone here has tried the game yet. If so, how does it compare to THPS4? (it´s the only Tony Hawk I´ve played for long).

Yes I bought it..

Im already in some top 10 standings on the kid standings.. i chose rookie settings cause its my first tony hawk ever.. probably will move to the more advance controls in a bit and try to go for those boards..

So far its really fun and i always dissed tony hawk games, but im enjoying this one, trying to get higher scores etc ...

Ill tell you this though, that the 1v1 agst people isnt super great.. it pretty much goes down to who can do more lips and holds then the other person in nonstop combos the fastest. =[

The game is supposed to be released today here in Spain and I´m afraid I will be weak enough to get it >_<

Well theres something called the price is wrong where you gotta get the cloest to a certain score u preset by the time limit.. the more u go over the more it hurts you.. the more ur under etc etc blah blah

Then theres a score attack where u gotta make your best total score ina time limit agst the other whos doing it as well.. whoever gets to whatever score wins..

Theres also a combo thing which rates ur highest scored combo that round highest one wins..

Theres something else.. cant recall..

They have time limits and score settings u can set.. and while your waiting u have a humongus free skate playfield while you wait.. (i dont think theres chat like i originally thought as well as others, unless im missing it)

Given the fact that MK is undoubtedly the king of online play in the DS (a mean, the amount of people going that way), are games too dificult to set? or there´s enough people to play against?

Yeah I picked it up a couple of days ago and its great, online and off, The online is good not because you can play people but because of the leader boards, the downloads and also being able to watch other people replays.

Offline is great the story although a bit stupid its still good, classic mode is there and there is even normal multiplayer not online too.

Its jammed packed. Worth every cent. IMHO

Classic mode meaning...? It´s the two minutes limit thing or roam freely and talk with whoever you like to do different goals (like in THPS4)?

Talk with people is story mode


Also the games are as easy as mario kart to set up.. literally no joke.. and it matches with someone else about 50x faster then mario kart if somoenes looking for a game..

I played a few times online.. never had 1 problem getting into a game in less then 10 seconds.

I've been bored with the TH-games since the second one, but this title might just get me hooked again. And I really like the graphical design in the DS-game..

But againt: a poor choice not to let any Millencolin song on to the soundtrack

Wow, so I guess, this was a much appreciated present for christmas. The last days, the "x PLAYERS ONLINE TODAY" on the official page was around 650, now after Christmas it is about 2650. Thats a huge step up.

I hope it's the same with Mario Kart and the matchups will be quicker now. Have to try... soon...
