New players should be aware that all bullet weapons are hitscan. The tracer rounds are just meaningless animation. I spent a year leading my targets and wondering why I sucked before figuring this out.
Neither of these videos are mine, but I'm using them as a great example of the way TF2 caters to absolutely every gaming background and FPS skill level.
Just got motivated after watching that video so I got on F7 and did a bit of good trashing, stayed in the top 3 with some solid soldier action and stayed on top by breaking a couple of my own records as a demoman (class which I suck and never play as).
That was some nice ego wanking, now I'm all tired and need to go to bed. :lol:lol
God I love this game. I should pay better attention while playing more often.
TF2 just started updating itself, I look at the update log as usual and... multicore rendering is in! Still "beta", so I'm not sure how stable it is yet, but this is good news for me since TF2 never ran as well as L4D on my not-so-awesome AMD CPU in crowded servers.

Plus they seem to have finally fixed the crash-on-exit thing for Vista 64 and Windows 7. I launched a map and quit and didn't even see the normal error (that vanishes) in Windows 7.
