So I did that Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

INFJ PERSONALITY (“THE ADVOCATE”)
INFJs indeed share a very unique combination of traits: though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in. They are decisive and strong-willed, but will rarely use that energy for personal gain – INFJs will act with creativity, imagination, conviction and sensitivity not to create advantage, but to create balance. Egalitarianism and karma are very attractive ideas to INFJs, and they tend to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants.
This thing is surprisingly right on the money. Except that last bit where I'd probably rather just kill tyrants than change them with the power of love (unless they're liberally using tyrant in which yeah, peace and love).

I got INFP-T, a lot of it sounds like me, aside from the altruistic/optimist part. Though, according to my answers, I'm pretty borderline on the thinking-feeling(54%) and judging-prospecting(54%) lines.

Very flawed way of assessment.

It is one model, not the definitive one. Boxes people within 16 defined types, but it's not a one size fits all for the characterization.

You can read up on MMPI and its models if you're interested in other assessments.

INFP here. Sounds about right honestly.

I answered most questions lightly, with 1 point in either agree/disagree, with few strong answers, and somehow got the Campaigner type (ENFP), even though outside of work I am basically a shut-in. I dunno what to make of that.

I'm whatever type thinks most of these questions are vague enough that I could completely change my answer based on how I choose to interpret them.

Seems about right. I was more introverted a few years ago, but I've been working on it. At a cost to my feeling of self-worth, thus the turbulent identity score.

Based on incorrect psychology as those Jung theories are severly outdated, very little reliability as outcome can change quite quickly, and considered so vague that people just see their own personality in whatever it claims the result is.
Jung isn't outdated - he was never accurate or intelligent in his musings that others took as science.

INTP as usual, with their T added on at the end.

It was mainly close in the feeling/thinking area, probably due to being very self conscious in some ways and... not at all in other ways. I don't like to upset people, but I'll easily go ahead and do whatever I feel like then feel really bad about if I upset someone after the fact. Being thoughtless very easily, basically.

ENFP is my life. And the more I learn about it, the more I hate it.

Mostly because it's true. But also because it means I have a harder time with certain things that I really wish I was good at naturally.

I fucking care about people too much and I hate it. :(

I always get ENTP on these. Got ENTP-A on this one.

Sounds about right – though I think any personality assessment based upon a subject's appraisal of themselves would.

Can't remember the last type of result I had. I don't really feel that I engage in this type of behavior openly. I typically try to be more diplomatic with individuals but once I get to know someone on a more personal level I do enjoy sporadic heated debates from time to time.

Perhaps more accurate than not, heh.

I think groups like the National Academy of Sciences have done reports on this stuff and concluded its mostly bullshit. Many of the studies that show correlation have conflicts of interest, like being funded by the Myers-Briggs group themselves or associates of them.

The thing is a horoscope built off psychology and statistics. Its harmless and interesting, although I've seen people get carried away with it before.

Yup. Really relate to this.

We ENFPs have some admirable strengths. But an ironic tendency of ours is being very aware/sensitive of things we perceive ourselves to be deficient in - always wanting to be able to do anything for anyone that asks for help, and then inevitably spreading too thin or falling short at some point, makes for a nice crushing blow to the old self-esteem.

Learning our limits, then gaining the modesty to respect those limits and work within them, is necessary so we don't live our lives on an emotional rollercoaster lol.

One of the more interesting aspects of these tests for me are how your type plays into interactions with others. Like as an ENFP, I can make friends with almost any type on the board, but my best friends will mostly always be in the Diplomat (NF) category. With few exceptions. My best bro is an ENFJ, but I have a couple other close friends that are INTJs. I find that they level me out haha.

my friend made me take this a while ago, on the really long Myers-Briggs test I originally took when I was like 11 and then like two more times later I always got INTP. I guess the hyphenated bit is because it's a toss-up between F and T.

reading the stuff about it seemed to fit me decently.

that being said a few of the questions I was like...
uhhhh.... no.. neither choice is right.

for example the one about a crowded room, would I stay near the walls, or move to the center.

neither... I would leave and find another room likely dragging a few friends with me, potentially outside if need be as I wouldn't stay in a super crowded room :P

or the... would you fire a long working loyal employee if they were under performing. As the question was stated I had to disagree. Logically if they are loyal, I would first do my best to work with them to get up to the performance levels needed. if they couldn't then they would be gone. But it costs quite a bit of time and money to train someone else, so I wouldn't just fire them for under performing, it would need to be sustained under performing after working with them.

Aw crap. Yeah. Reading more into the ENTP page.... That's definitely me alright. Really enjoying how this is broken down and laid out. Very entertaining.

It's only accurate if you've taken this test multiple times throughout the years and it always comes exactly the same. Through studies done on MBTI, that hasn't been the case so there's very little validity and reliability to them.
Then it's not accurate, but boy did it seem accurate.

huh there are more than one type of Logistician.. INST, INTP.. ehh

I – Introversion preferred to extraversion: ISTJs tend to be quiet and reserved. They generally prefer interacting with a few close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances, and they expend energy in social situations (whereas extroverts gain energy).[6]
S – Sensing preferred to intuition: ISTJs tend to be more concrete than abstract. They focus their attention on the details rather than the big picture, and on immediate realities rather than future possibilities.[7]
T – Thinking preferred to feeling: ISTJs tend to value objective criteria above personal preference. When making decisions, they generally give more weight to logic than to social considerations.[8]
J – Judgment preferred to perception: ISTJs tend to plan their activities and make decisions early. They derive a sense of control through predictability.[9]

ISTJ:

Strengths
Take honor in their commitments
View relationship roles as important
Are very precise at communicating what's on their minds
Are very good listeners
Are safe with money
Handle constructive criticism well
Handle conflict situations without losing emotional control
Are able to distribute criticism or punishment when called upon

Weaknesses
Possess a strong belief in their personal opinions
Often get involved in competitive conversations
Are out of tune with the feelings of other people
Value a very rigid structure
Often fail to give sufficient praise or affirmation to those close to them

This is what i got too (ISTJ), those weaknesses fit me to a tee, as anyone on this forum who knows my political leanings can attest to

Anyone who bases decisions on MMBTI/trusts in it for relationships or something is not actually an INTJ/INTP whatever.

I know this thread is mostly full of people doing it for fun, but you cannot even imagine the culture that exists between people who put their MMBTI in social media biographies as if it actually means anything.

i always assumed this stuff would be bullshit, but looked into it a while back and after returning results as INTP it's honestly explained a lot about me for better and worse.

i always thought i just had weird quirks but it's kind of reassuring to have them codified as a predictable, non-unique (if somewhat rare) type. it's helped me become more aware of my weaknesses and learn to harness my strengths.

don't think of it as a "YOU ARE THIS 100% OF THE TIME" ruleset — it's more just a useful way to step outside your body and understand your tendencies to react to certain things. it gives perspective.

Just reading some of the stuff and I'm actually surprised by how much actually applies to me.

edit: this is actually eerie, almost everything fits o_O

I'm guessing the first letter is pretty spot on usually.

I don't remember getting ISFP-A from one of these before. There's a lot I don't see in myself in that description.

So I got INFJ-T with every single category (except introverted/extraverted) within 4% of the other side. Apparently I'm just captain neutral because INFJ-T does not sound like me. That seems to think I like helping people when in reality I tend to be an asshole because people annoy me

Quite a well written website.

INTP all the way (and maybe a little INTJ sometimes too).

But as an INTP, there's no way you get to the end and think; Ooh, I need to fork over money to find out more. It's more like... yes, that's a nice assessment. I am quite happy to be me thank you!
