Honestly, just seems so silly to me to even bother when you're at that stage, but I guess I shouldn't judge. People will have their belief systems, not my place to call them on it so long as they aren't hurting anyone.

I've been with my SO for over a year and I still use a condom and she uses the pill. I got completely traumatized by all my high school friends popping out kids, sometimes numerous ones. Either someone was being malicious or that was just some horrible odds at play.

Basically its a matter of the consequences of breaking those "rules" having sex and forgetting to not eat meat on Friday affect me and me alone.

Killing my unborn child is denying someone else a shot at life, so my actions are affecting another person. I would rather be a single father and take responsibility from my actions.

Same reasons I don't discriminate gay people, or try to convert everyone I meet.It hurts other people.

My take on faith to keep my relationship with god to just me and it. I just
feel comfortable with the ways catholicism allows you to express that relationship. for example praying by yourself, or wearing a cross, praying with your loved ones, going to those beautiful temples.

But there's several things about the church I don't agree with and refuse to follow, here in Latin America that's very common
thinking in the younger generations

Most young Catholics believe Life starts at conception. But many orthodox catholics just have more kids than they can handle, because of what you're saying.

Well, Uruguay is extremely liberal and from my perception most of the other countries are more socially conservative. I'm in Puerto Rico and everyone I know is religious and gay marriage is illegal. To be fair, I live in a semi-rural area so being atheist and/or gay may be more acceptable in the metropolitan areas.

Fuck being Catholic, what a shitty society and annoying brainwash thing. I never believed in that shit and just went to a catholic school because my mum wanted me to go to one. I never ever cared for anything because I realized that it's just a waste of time and it also destroys your knees in church.

Not that I am saying that religion sucks - people should believe in what they want to believe, but they weren't able to brainwash me and they really tried for many years.

If you're thinking about things like this you're starting off on better footing than most people when they lose their V Card. Myself included.
