WOW! That sounds horrible. Might be something you have to experience to understand. But since I have a "funny brain" I think it may cause me to have a psychotic breakdown.

I find that shrooms have more of a confusing emotional edge to them, while LSD feels more cerebral and lucid. Like mushrooms have more of an emotional rollercoaster effect for me, while with an equivalent dose of LSD I'll just be laughing at the absurdity of everything.

In my experience shrooms are a double edged sword. They're gentler overall but once you start having a bad trip it's way harder to get out of it. Even on pretty high doses of acid usually a change of atmosphere is enough to fix things. Leave the room/area you're in, change the lighting, put some music on, do something else, and you're in a completely different place. Shrooms aren't like that. Also shroom trips are way shorter. This is both good and bad, depending how you look at it. Last time I did acid it lasted about fifteen hours. I will also say that bad trips on shrooms typically seem more "spooky" whereas bad trips on acid get into straight up scary territory. I had a bad trip once where I was convinced my friends were dead and I was horribly injured because I blew my nose too hard and saw blood in the tissue. I thought that I was too high to realize how hurt I was, so I figured I must have done something awful. I lied on the couch convinced I was dying and thought my friend sitting on the couch next to me (our trip guide) was trying to google how to take me to the hospital without getting me arrested because I was high. Turns out he was just doing homework and my friends were goofing off in the backyard laughing at sticks.
 
My housemates and I were throwing a party before an REM concert and a friend had scored some acid. I was drinking a beer in the crowded living room waiting for it to kick in. It had been about 45 minutes, and it was obvious we had been ripped off. The party was in full swing, with a few people seated on the floor, others on couches and chairs. A girl moved past me and as she leaned down to talk to a friend sitting on the rug, she sneezed, and a huge gout of blood jetted from her nose. It arced in the air, in thick rope-like strands and fat globes, cascading onto the back of the sitting girl, instantly soaking her white sweater-dress in bright crimson. I shouted out and ran forward to help, and the girl calmly put the brown leather strap of her purse back up on her shoulder when it had fallen from the sneeze.

That was some really good acid.

A few times I would just take half a dose, because I wanted a less-intense trip. I also thought it was shorter. "Half as strong, half as long," I would say. Then a friend finally told me, "You idiot. It takes the same amount of time!"

I envy you so much.

I have downed my body weight in hallucinogens but never found a game that could keep my attention during said trips... NMS would likely have been the first.

Buuut I'm 31 and can't roll like I used to.

I used to jump into Zone of The Enders 2 and go ham like a madman back in high school. Teleporting and crazy particle effects and Anime wooooaaahhh boy.
 
Take a trip in nature next time. Get a day off, take some water and shit and be prepared for the time of your life
