Get a galaxy note 2, enjoy some zack morris style phone talkin
If you have to write software to 'ignore the fingers on the screen' then it probably needs more bezel to remedy that IMO. I can understand why they didn't, its already fairly large for a 'small' tablet, but still.
Nexus 7 since its far superior in most everything it does (IMO).
iPad Mini
I don't know why anybody would want a tablet that runs mostly just blown up phone apps. The native app support for Android tablets is a joke.
Can you give some examples?
If you want a tablet experience and not a blownup phone one plus godly built quality: iPad
If you want to pay less, have good built quality and an higher res screen: Nexus7
If you want to read books on it: Fire HD
Because video, browsing and ebooks will look better on the higher resolution?
I think more people care about the actual apps, and that's where the iPad has a huge advantage.
So? Most people are not going to be bothered by the lower pixel density. Also, ebooks at 16x9? Lol

Those surveys tell that people don't us Android tablets much, not that people don't use iPad apps.Ironically the iPad counts for roughly 90% of web traffic across all tablets. And you can find many surveys that suggest a large majority of iPad owners use it primarily for web browsing.
I'd say I used my Ipad 2 90% of the time on the web, 5% for music and the rest email/social networking.
Was going to say this.If the ecosystem is vital iPad Mini, otherwise the Nexus 7. The Kindle Fire shouldn't even be an option.

iPad mini. The 7" screen just seems too small....
Get a bigger tablet then.

Accessing the web – 75%
Emailing -63%
53% of iPad owners say they use their device mainly for entertainment
Playing games – 48%
Social networking – 41%
Researching products and services – 29%
Reading books – 25%
Listening to music – 21%
Shopping – 19%
Reading magazines – 13%
For work – 13%
Watching TV – 11%
Free apps are almost twice as popular among iPad consumers as paid-for (the average iPad has 18 free apps on it and 10 paid-for)
Over 50% of owners have less than 5 paid for Apps, 1 in 5 have none.
Because the iPad mini costs 65% more than the Nexus 7 while offering a lower quality screen for media consumption.
And yet it's getting better reviews from sites like Verge. Hmmm
What apps do normal people use that aren't available on Android?

That's not exactly helping your case...
