Its semi up for me. I can see my friends list and even get on the store but can't get to time trails for project cars or online mode for Bloodborne...ugh..

Was up fine last night. Now can't even see friends or access YouTube app.

Fine for me so far. Booted up the store, fine. Friends, fine. No locked games. Booted up Destiny and everything is working. Only thing that wasn't working was the What's New section.

Bloodborne is now telling me that it can't access parental control information...lol..
I'm able to access the store but can't make any purchases with the card I have on file. I tried deleting/re-adding the card to no avail. Every time I get an error message saying 'that it cannot process the order at this time.' It cannot make purchases on PSN store on PS3 & PS4 either. I contact Sony and their support seems to think it was a problem with the card. I then contact the bank and they are showing no problems on their end.
I used a Paypal account to make the purchase and had no problems. When I tried to make another purchase, I get "Add Funds" option instead. I finally had to use Amazon prepaid card.
I hope my account isn't getting compromised. Sony's response to me is clueless to say the least.

I wouldn't worry about your card it sprobably related to the PSN service problems. Sony support is often clueless

I'll reiterate again: This weekend, many people are participating in Operation: Supply Drop, which is a charity event where people in the United States play games and raise money to send gaming gear to soldiers. I recall the same thing happening last year.

If PSN can't handle that kind of traffic, well... Sony should be called on the carpet, should your theory bear out. There's a certain measure of responsibility that should come with being the dominant console of the current generation, and that includes maintaining an online service that doesn't go to shit when a charity event rolls around.
I don't think it's Supply Drop, though. DDoS shenanigans seem to be a more believable explanation, which Sony can't defend against. If jerkasses want to target Sony, well... the storm has to be weathered.

Well, on Friday I was watching Unprofessional Fridays on Giant Bomb and they were trying to play FarCry 4 online on PS4 and obviously couldn't. In the chat people told them about the PSN being down. Others were mentioning XBL having issues as well. While I agree that Sony should try to be better at recovering quicker from DDOS attacks (even though I don't have XBL, it seems it recovers more quickly from DDOS attacks), I still think the reason the attacks happened this weekend in particular was because of Operation: Supply Drop.

Not at all. This is the first time it's been down in forever. Also XBL has just as many problems ever since Christmas

My apartment connection has been unable to access PSN for two days now, but I can go in with my mobile connection. Vita signs in fine when connected to my phone hotspot but fails to connect when connected to my home wifi.
Looks like Sony is blocking my IP for whatever reason, and there's nothing I can do about it. Sucks to pay for PS+ right now.

Going all digital means I lose access to all my games. Having a digital library and game sharing with my brother has been nothing but a nightmare. Not sure why they couldn't let me keep my games when the system goes offline. (Like with their previous systems, not sure why ps4 is so draconian)Ridiculous.
