So is there a way to easily pull screens from my PS4 yet?

I keep my Consoles pretty much locked away in a cabinet and out of reach of my infant child. Having to physically access the console in order to do pretty much anything means trekking across the living room with some random drive to save an image on then trekking that drive across the house to a PC to upload it.

With the Wii U I can just dump screen caps to Flickr, can you not do that with the PS4?

Do you have to pick the lock every time you want to access your console? "Trekking the drive across the house" lol

Is this your house OP?

Having to locate thumb drives, go into cabinets, and change rooms seems unnecessarily complicated for uploading a minimally compressed screen cap from a modern gaming platform.

I will concede that there are a lot of way more user-friendly ways that we could be getting screenshots off of the PS4. Flickr/Google Photos upload... Dropbox.. few different ways that could go really.

That said, I don't think it's quite as simple as "well damn, just make a Flickr app for PS4 and boom" Pretty sure the app owner has to do that, and they'd have to want to do it, so.... if they don't... yeah.

I get it, but just use the thumb drive.

One of the ways I do it is attach the screenshot in a message to a secondary psn account on the ps4 then I view the conversation on the PlayStation app on my phone and save the image onto my phone. Then I upload to picpar.

USB method is the easiest methinks.

Edit: the quality is good.

Make sure you pack a lunch and plenty of water.

you can access your PS3 files from your PC?

not accessing PC through PS3

I yield.

I will solve the mystery: My PS4 is 10 feet from my PC. Were it 9 feet, a USB key would be a reasonable solution. Owing to the extra foot however, it is unacceptable.

What if.

What if you move your PS4 one foot closer to your PC? Would this be an acceptable solution?

Trekking? jesus, how big is your crib OP?

Stealth bragging thread

Funny that the Vita has two ways to do this (wirelessly copying directly to PC and uploading to any site through the browser) that Sony hasn't bothered to add to the PS4.

Small, but with kid proofing running the the house isn't as easy as it used to be, nor do I like bringing the kid into my office as I have not kid proofed it.

I have literally never intentionally used the share button on my PS4, but can one not just save screen cap to the HDD then upload it to flickr, picassa, etc using the systems web brower?

I can't believe how plugging a USB key (and unplugging it later OMGOMGOMGOMG) is like a chore. Sounds like you need more a solution to your personal problems than a solution to save your screenshots.

No, they make you do it through social media, because, that's like what the kids want yo

If I remember correctly, you can share it with a FB/Twitter account.

So in order to access your console you have to walk to it?

Man, that must suck

Gonna request you turn off wifi on all your devices and throw your cell phone away so you can rough it properly, it's an unreasonably convenient technology

Erm. You're the one asking how to avoid needing to trek across the room to your console to access it. I don't think you're allowed to get snarky.

This thread turned out much more fun than I expected when entering.

Ordering something online isn't much of a solution because then OP would have to get up to pick up the package at the front door.

Stealth trolling topic. There's no way someone actually thinks that walking across the living room once in a while with a USB key in his hand is an absolute chore.

On Vita, I just use the email app to email the image to myself. The Vita browser is the total suck

I have no idea why people are giving you shit over this.
It's 2015, we shouldn't have to use usb drives to move shit around our local network, regardless of the hardware involved.
