I was talking to a Peruvian friend a few days ago, it seems very common in Peru too. Last week she and her friend barely made it out when some guys tried to stop her car by trying to block the road with their own car.

My friend's friend just rammed their car and then drove straight to the hospital but they were only slightly injured. And as always, the local police didn't seem to give a single crap about it.
 
I'm back, we just got the extra meney they asked and we are back to the waiting, I don't know why but right now I just feel empty, not even sad or angry anymore, just hope this time they are satisfied because we don't have any more to give.

Man, that's insanely shitty, OP. I hope you can get her back and they'll go fuck off and die.

I'd imagine too that you can't look like you're recovering that quickly either (money wise) or they'll just figure they can do it again and ask you for more. :(
 
I hope all works out for your family man. Is there any way to bug the car/cars or report them stolen so that there would be a way to track these people so it doesn't happen to somebody else again?

I was just talking to my mom and brother, and we all agreed than there is one thing we would like to ask, we don't have any more money or stuff, but once my sister is with us we will have to seek professional help for her that we won't be able to afford for some time, so I won't ask for money, but if someone here is or know a psychologist here in Mexico (PM for the details) and would like to help us by giving her therapy that be really awesome.
 
Damn, I sincerely do hope everything turns out for the best and I hope those fucking cunts that took your sister all get whats coming to them.

Man I feel for you, I'm colombian and we suffered a lot in our drug war years I can only wish you the best and have a prayer or two for you.

Another GAFfer made kidnapping in Mexico sound like a mundane business transaction. He even said that people haggle sometimes.

Why must it be your mother who goes? Why would they care if it was your father or uncle?
 
If you ever decide to leave Mexico come to San Antonio! We have a very large Mexican ex-pat community that seems to be very supportive of each other. There is even a wealthy neighborhood on the North side that has been nicknamed Little Monterrey.
