He's either black, white, asian, mediterannean... it makes no difference to me and I'm not about to start generalising race, but it's a relevant fact to his wife's experience. People are so afraid to become victims themselves that they freeze and do nothing. You can sit there and complain about it, but if you were in a similar situation, you might find yourself doing the same thing. I live in Georgia and the cops here are very lax when it comes to this sort of stuff. Whether it's in Atlanta, Savanh or an unknown town like Claxton. I have unfortunate experience dealing with the lax attitudes of the cops to the point I once had to take action and caught a neighborhood burglar myself. I don't even go into the attempted rape I mentioned and how the cops did nothing because no rape happened (thankfully I'm not a little weakling that takes things lying down).

The fact I have dealt with similar situations to what the OP posted is reason enough for me to "generalize" about the cops being goddamn useless.
