Given the type of terrorist we're typically worried about these days: Westerners. That's all they'd need to know.

Pirates have gone after cruise ships before. I'm sure terrorists wouldn't overlook the opportunity. I presume these ships don't go near anywhere that'd make it easy for an attack to happen though.
I can't imagine how insanely hard it would be to hijack a boat that size with like 6,000 passengers and thousands of rooms to secure. I'd doubt anyone would try.

I could see a terrorist attempt though..bombing the boat or shooting it with missles seems like something that could very well happen.

KORSOER, Denmark – The world's largest cruise ship cleared a crucial obstacle Sunday, lowering its smokestacks to squeeze under a bridge in Denmark.

The Oasis of the Seas — which rises about 20 stories high — passed below the Great Belt Fixed Link with a slim margin as it left the Baltic Sea on its maiden voyage to Florida.

Bridge operators said that even after lowering its telescopic smokestacks the giant ship had less than a 2-foot (half-meter) gap.

2-foot gap? It's like they're not even being cautious.

wow... according to that article:

Company officials are banking that its novelty will help guarantee its success. Five times larger than the Titanic, the $1.5 billion ship has seven neighborhoods, an ice rink, a small golf course and a 750-seat outdoor amphitheater. It has 2,700 cabins and can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members.

You can't buy this type of publicity. This whole thread is like one big commercial for this ridiculous beast of a ship.

You are stacked, but it's possible.

The project that I grew up in looked better than that ship.

It was in the Solent? Damn, I could probably have seen it.

Judging by the pictures it's horribly ugly - I'm inclined to give it some slack, however, because I read that stuff like some of the greenery is yet to go in - but cruise ships in general are awesome. I went on a Caribbean one about 9-10 years ago and had a fantastic time.

That is so gross looking. It's has the appearance of a cheap hotel or something from the outside, all densely packed in like sardines. It just exudes uncomfortableness.
pretty much

That picture makes it look like it should be something in space. This things fuckin crazy

That does look like one of the habitable ring things the mass effect citadel is based on.

Awesome boat. Ugly from the outside like all cruise ships, but some awesome aesthetics on the inside.

The Oasis of the Sea is 1200 feet long. That's approximately 366 meters long.

Just for comparison here is a pic of the independence of the sea which is 28 meters smaller than the Oasis of the Sea:

Bigger than the moon!

Kinda cool how it just sits like it's perched on top of the water. Ugly as all hell otherwise.
