Centipede: Infestation from Wayforward / Atari

Nikoli's Pencil Puzzle from Hudson / Konami

Centipede: Infestation I had heard about before, mainly because it was a Wayforward game and looked absolutely awful in early previews.
Looks like nothing has changed. Don't see any reviews on Metacritic.

Nikoli's Pencil Puzzle I had never heard of, but apparently Nintendo Power gave it a 6.
Seems to feature some classic Hudson characters.



Both games are currently $29.99 on Amazon and part of the Buy 2 Get 1 free promotion.
Just curious if anyone actually played these.

hudson usa branch hit the dust and hudson japan was absorbed by capcom

They're dead. Konami gutted them earlier in the year when they bought them. They canceled a tonne of their projects, and only now are a few being released, either by Konami, or other publishers (See Nintendo and Bandai publishing Hudson's Tetris 3DS game).

I didn't get a chance to try out Nikoli's Pencil Puzzle 3D yet. It looks like gamestop won't be getting it until Tuesday. I got Centipede: Infestation and it seems pretty good, but the problem is a dual stick shooter with one stick. ew. I will keep going with it because I want to see what WayForward did with it.

One game I got this past week that is pretty much terrible..Captain America. Screen tearing, no camera control. bad camera. above average 3D, at best. just no.

It's pretty muc Phoenix Wright, though.

I'm pretty sure most if not all of Atari's retro reinventions were released on DD portals.

I know the 3DS isn't exactly a powerhouse, but for fucks sake at least put a little effort into it. It isn't launch window anymore, and way too many games are indistinguishable from the DS library.

The good new about the 3DS not doing so well is the number of games now releasing at $29.99. Sad to see Cave Story is still going to be $39.99. If they wonder why it doesn't sell well in a sea of 29.99 games and a week before Mario.

No interesting in either to be honest. I loved Shantae: Risky's Revenge but I have no interest in that WayForward game.

Also, Super Mario 3D Land is coming out in two weeks - so my money goes towards that instead, lol.

I didn't know that was out already and all of the sites that sell it list NCIS as March 6th, 2012.

Zoo Resort 3D is a title you guys might wanna check out. Im enjoying it quite a bit.

I don't think they've totally emerged from "gun-for-hire" status, yet, so don't hold that against them. I hadn't heard about the latter, but the former was garnering lukewarm reactions. I decided to pass barring interesting review comments.

The Wii version has fun gameplay, but the presentation is really lacking I thought. I'll be posting my review probably on Tuesday (not here).
