Having some right now, and i always wondered this.
Here, along with a bunch of other south-american countries, it's basically the common way to get pizza. You need to ask for a "Pizzeta" to get the round one, or as i would call it when i was a kid the Ninja Turtles pizza (always bitched about how our pizza didnt looked like theirs, lol).
How is its presence in north-america ? ive never been there but ive always seen your usual round pizza, never heard of anyone eating it this way. It also takes a different preparation and tastes somewhat different as well. Could you go to a Pizza Hut or whatever and ask for one of these ? have you ?
