Considering the underwhelming impact Disney Interactive has had in the videogame market hopefully they partner with somebody else to bring the Lucasarts IP to fruition.
And? Until this afternoon, LucasArts wasn't Disney. I don't see them pulling the games from Steam day and date with the acquisition.
We don't know what is gonna happen. I'm just wondering, it is definitely a possibility.
Grim Fandango 2 will see an iOS release.
How is Disney with gaming?
They were off to a nice start with Pure and Split/Second but those games sold like ass so they bailed the fuck out.
I don't think people understand the point of the deal. Disney basically only cares about Star Wars Films and Star Wars Merchandise. That's is probably all they will look at. Heck, ILM is going to be business as usual. Don't think they will do anything differently with regards to Lucasarts.

Well, they did sort of unceremoniously kill off that rather good Spectacular Spider-man cartoon that was really good and commissioned that god awful Ultimate one (the only thing it is Ultimate at is being really unfunny) so there is that, I suppose.Disney is going to destroy Marvel any day now.
Just you wait.
Lucas Arts has not made a good game since? The answer may not even be this millennium. The Jedi Outcast games were done by Raven. At least it is not one staff of failure as the studios have been started and shuttered once a year or two consistently.
It is only possible for this to be good because LA is sadly at absolute zero of quality.
Wha? Disney got a bargain. You know how much Star Wars merchandise sells every year? Disney now has a piece of it. Forever. How much did Disney pay for Lucas? $4 billion? That's just insane. Lucas are worthless outside of their effects house. They make terrible movies (luckily not that often though) and their gaming division has been limping along for years. Heck, is Star Wars even worth anything anymore? The high profile failure of The Old Republic tells me the answer is an emphatic "no".
probably continue being what they have been for years now. Irrelevant.
