So what exactly are the big 4 announcement at X06?

I'd personally like to see where XNA has taken them... its been a full year since last X06 and their XNA pimpage. Have we seen verifiable results?

It was announced at last years X05, so the chances are good that we are going to see more of it.
 
Why the hell are people expecting them to announce ANYTHING japanese at X06? TGS is over kids, there is no point to speculate anything on DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil, etc because they've already passed that opportunity by at TGS.

well, although they are japanese, we have every single resident evil game here in europe too, so an announcement about resi 5 is possible. also, didnt that guy from capcom say in their financial report or whatever that was that resi 5 is in production für 360? besides lost planet

Resi 5 exclusive denied

Rumours from Japan that Resi 5 will be 360 exclusive have been shot down by Capcom

Word from Japan had suggested that Resident Evil 5 will be exclusive to Xbox 360 for a year but that's not the case, Capcom tells us this morning...

"Resident Evil 5 will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 as announced. There a no plans for an exclusive with the game", a spokesperson from the company told us.

They went on to add that it's still very early days for the sequel, which means, unfortunately, it's likely to be some considerable time before anything of the project is seen outside of Capcom HQ.

Anticipation surrounding Resi 5 is GARGANTUAN thanks to Capcom's incredible reinvention of the series with Resident Evil 4. We will, of course, bring you further news on Resident Evil 5 as and when we get it.

some one - 1up? - said four big announcements were coming in their blog
 
1. Fall dashboard update - allows streamable video from Windows XP
2. XBL basic matchmaking added for free XBL Silver accounts - supported via advertisements
3. New Rare game
4. Moneyhats for Blizzard, Diablo 3 exclusive for 360+PC (lets them keep it off of the Mac too)


-RE5 is just behind schedule guys - its not ready to be shown anywhere.
-New hardware configurations won't be shown - that would kill holiday sales (look for this info early next year)
-Its too soon for NG2, they will not want to steal the NGS thunder.

I do think that we could see a GTA4 trailer though - its wierd to me that we havn't seen anything about this game yet (I could see them paying for a marketing exclusive for this game). A new Halo 3 trailer is almost a given, as is one for Forza2, along with lots of GoW, Mass Effect, Viva Pinata hype.

2) Forza 2 release date
3) Alan Wake release date
4) Halo 3 release date

How do you know?
 
1. Excusive SEGA games - Shenmue 3, new Panzer Dragoon, new Jet Set Radio, original PD via XBLA
2. Diablo III console exclusivity and Diablo II via XBLA with fully featured onlne play
3. Multiplayer map-editor and map-sharing via Xbox Live for Gears of War
4. B.C has been secretly in development for 360 ever since it was canned for Xbox, releases before christmas.

That'd be my personal 4 choices, never going to happen in a million years though.

X06 CONFERENCE INFO REVEALED!!!!

Tommorow is the X06 conference in Barcelona. Some info has been leaked including some big surprises. Here is a list of what is going to be anounced tommorow. Tune in for the confernce at Xbox.com from 6pm GMT.

Gears of War single player and multiplayer videos shown. Playable on show floor.

HD-DVD anouncement. Release date and price for Europe and United States. £119.99/E149.99 and December 1st release in Europe.$199.99 USD and November 24th release in US.
All will be bundled with Universal Media Remote.

A new Halo 3 trailer is shown. Some multiplayer info revealed. Aiming for 50-64 player online. Announce that Halo 3 will be the first game to run natively on 1080p. They will make full use of this update. Available in 2007. Playable behind closed doors.

More info about 1080p and how it will be done. New dashboard announcement. Release date revealed for late November. Will allow users to try out homebrew content made with XNA game express.

More news on Live Anywhere and how it will function. Talk about function with Zune and XBLA titles.

Rare show off new version of Killer Instinct for the 360. Will support 4 player tag matches. Playable on show floor.

Alan Wake shown and fully playable. Will also be availble on Windows Vista. Coming this Spring.

Fable 2 trailer shown. Multiplayer confirmed.

Black Xbox 360 anounced. Available this Christmas around the world. New Xbox 360 core and premium bundles shown. Xbox 360 Classics game list. Kameo, PDZ included. More this spring including Oblivion.

it takes less effort to press the s key instead of shift and 4. it's a pretty poor excuse really... though i know you're no sony bot.
