So....What is going on with Katt Williams?

It's too bad, he was awesome as Seamus the Pigeon in Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

Katt has never been too funny, and has always resorted to animated recitations of repetitive expletives. Kevin Hart on the other hand, has gotten a lot funnier
 
I might be getting old, but none of these guys save for Dave C. is really as funny as the stuff in the 80s early 90s. Katt... I dunno, I sit thru has stuff and find myself fake laughing because everyone else is, but it's just not funny. Comedy is like Boxing... is just aint good no more.

Ha, I saw his rant on Mexicans a while back (was posted on gaf I think). Thought it was pretty fucking lame.

His bit on atheists (linked earlier in this thread, I think) is so dumb. I guess he's sort of getting at Pascal's Wager or something, but it doesn't work at all.
 
Both Kevin Hart and Katt Williams are bloody shit comedians. Not even fit to kiss the dirt off the shoes of the likes of Prior, Carlin, Murphy, Rock, Chapelle etc.
 
He was definitely funny, but the dude is fried. He seems insanely paranoid and unbalanced. Success can be a motherfucker if you don't know how to cope.
 
Katt Williams a no-show at Seattle's Paramount Theatre

A short review of Thursday evening/night:

If you've never experienced it, a packed theater with 100% angry customers has a very specific energy. Confusion and anger. What's going on? How much did we pay for this again? (Tickets were $45-55.) From 8:30 pm, Katt Williams' large amount of opening acts got progressively weirder and more annoying, peaking with John Witherspoon from "Friday" and "Boondocks," plummeting with a few rappers, one of whom was holding a Bible and literally thumping it.

According to the emcee Katt was "in the building." Then a few hours later he was "stopped by police but he's on his way." Which statement was untrue? Both? Neither?

After 11:00 pm people started leaving. Two quotes I heard in the lobby:

"I drove here from from hella far and paid hella money. This sucks."

"I got my ticket for free and I'm still pissed."

Searching twitter for "katt williams seattle" gives an indication of how fans reacted. Unhappily, to say the least. I would recommend that we remain compassionate to Williams, who is clearly going through something right now, and be mindful that we don't know all the facts.

But it sure is disappointing when you rearrange your life for a late show on a school night, and the whole thing falls apart.

What are people's problem with Kevin Hart? He's decent, nothing special but definitely not as bad as some of the comments so far in this thread.

I've always felt he tries too hard. Kind of like the class clown in high school that tried to hard for cheap laughs. That's how his jokes come off to me.
 
I just watched Kattpocolypse last night on Showtime and though the special was great. Not as good as the Pimp Chronicles, but ahead of Pimpin Pimpin
 
Dude gets a one in a million chance with becoming famous but proceeds to fuck it up as quickly as he can. What a loser. I'll bet that we'll be reading how he OD'd in a hotel room within a year from now if he can't get his life on track.
 
Every bump brings in a new crazy story.

I give him 3 weeks before he's either in prison or dead.
