So.... what's your plan with the SNES Classic?

Get up 3 hours before Target opens, hope I make it in line early enough.

After I bring it home, I'll probably play each game for about 5 minutes, then play Mario World with my girls, then after they lose interest I'll play FF6.

Finish the Secret of Mana co-op playthrough my girlfriend and I started on an emulator. I need to finally finish Earthbound and Super Metroid too.

Play Yoshi's Island and Secret of Mana

The NES Mini got me to play StarTropics, this will finally get me to play those two.

Played bits and pieces of a friend's copy of Yoshi's Island, but never the full game. Wanted to do it for a while, but never really got around to it. Same for Secret of Mana which I never got further with than the first giant mantis 'boss'.

Other than that I'll fiddle around with half of the other games on there. Maybe I'll actually beat SGnG this time (hahahaha)

Assuming my SNES Classic arrives without any issues from Best Buy, I'll just hang back and check out Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG for the first time while waiting to see how the hacking situation for the SNES Classic shapes up while also keeping my eyes open for additional units to grab for some friends.

Well, unlike the NES, I do intend to use this one quite a bit. There's some good RPG's on there and I really want to try Super Mario RPG for real this time. I've played a bit on an emulator on PC a long time ago, but since it wasn't released in Europe I haven't been able to play it for real until now.

After that, the other RPG's, Contra, Mario and R-Type. In no particular order.

I'll be playing mine. Never had a SNES growing up so I haven't played most of the games all the way through, I'm looking forward to it. My backlog is going to be huge.

Play through Super Mario RPG and some of the other RPGs and check out Star Fox 2. But mostly snagging it for the RPGs and the novelty of it.

Start it up realize starfox 2 is a **** game and never play it again.

Turn back to dkc 1 finish it
Then prob metroid.
After that zelda.

Try mana get bored never touch it again.

By todays standards, you're probably right about SF2. Frame rate is pretty bad, plus using D-pad for 3D game. Still, I'm hoping for good music like the first, plus it's a relic of gaming history so I'm willing to give it some time for posterity.

To simply have a little SNES replica on display at my desk. As ugly as the system's shell is, it's still nostalgic to me.

I'll take it for a spin once or twice but I've already been playing these games for decades, on many different platforms, including Star Fox 2.

My plan is to pick up my pre-order from Best Buy, then I'm gonna play Earthbound and Super Mario RPG first!

Then whenever they make hakchi2 work with it, I'll be adding even more SNES games like I did with my NES!

It's crazy. When the announcement went up late in the evening on GAF that pre-orders (legit ones) were being accepted by Best Buy for the SNES Classic I immediately clicked on the link, and voila, stared right at the pre-order link --> which I clicked on and started to fill out the proper information.

Then, without warning, I had a change of heart. For some reason, before committing to a pre-order, I realized I didn't really want one. I managed to snag a NES Classic at Best Buy earlier this year, but for some unbeknownst reason I didn't feel like I needed a SNES Classic. Maybe because I have played all those games to death, and I still have access to 'em on my Wii U/Wii Virtual Consoles. Sure, it'd be nice to have all those titles in one place, but honestly, between my Switch, Xbox 360, PS4, Wii U and NES Classic my TV is fresh out of available HDMI ports. Also, $80 bucks might not seem like a lot, but I would rather play new games on my Switch. I am having a blast with Mario + Rabbids, looking forward to Golf Story and then there's Mario Odyssey.

If Reggie's words have any liability, then perhaps the supply will be there in the event I change my mind and want one. But for now, i'm not too bothered by my decision to sit this one out.

Truth be told, I mainly bought this just to have legal ownership of the included games to dump the ROMs and emulate on my phone and PC - I was born after that generation and never had much luck finding used SNES games for reasonable prices as opposed to the Mega Drive's library, so StarWing/Fox is the only game included with the SNES Classic Mini that I already own - and also to use the controllers on PC/Wii.

I'll probably stick the thing into the projector for the rest of the family.

Second one goes to my Final Fantasy obsessed friend.

Not at first but eventually I am going to play earthbound. My best friend had it growing up but we never played it together and none of the video rental stores had it. It was his older brothers copy so I wasn't allowed to borrow it.

No biggie, I'll keep playing UN Squadron and you can pound sand Johnathan.

If I can't find two, then I'll have to make a decision. I really want to open it and enjoy it, there are SO many good games! But I am also in incredibly dire financial straits, so flipping, while frowned upon, may be necessary with the one I have on preorder.
