So... when are we getting Season 3 of 1 vs 100??? (Answer: Never)

Season 2 ended a while back and we haven't heard a thing about Season 3. I really liked playing it even if I had no shot at winning anything. I love trivia of all kinds and it was fun to play in an online party.

It was one of the few things my wife enjoyed about the 360. She learned how to actually turn it on and would play when I wasn't home.

I hope this isn't being shelved to work on Kinect or something. If MS want to focus more on Family Gaming, there is no better way than to promote the hell out of 1 vs 100.

EDIT: NEVER!!!!

...the subject of this thread is about a TV show?

If it's a game, I never heard about it before O_o

It only runs for short times, and is only playable during certain hours at said periods of time.

It's not unheard of for it to have slipped under the radar.

Do you not own a X360? If you do, I guess you never pay attention to the dashboard stuff
I don't own a 360.

Thanks for the info & link guys. Please carry on -_-

Man I wish this was on every week. Don't bother with the surplus sessions, just do a show every Saturday.

It was one of the times where I felt that the community truly came together to experience something wonderful.

I have three theories why it hasn't returned yet.

1. There weren't enough people playing the game.
2. They couldn't secure enough sponsorships to cover the costs, probably due to #1.
3. The game only attracted core gamers instead of the expanded audience they were looking to lure onto Live.

Looking at the leaderboards, there was definitely a lot of people playing.

Costs? They gave away friggin MS points!!!!

Even though I was never once in the Mob(or even 'the one'), I enjoyed playing it. It was an interesting XBL experience. Would be a shame for MS to throw it out the window.

I agree. It was pretty fun even if I was not in the mob or was the one. It was pretty cool that there was really an host live and you could take part in contests live and send message to the host and he would comment on them. It was really well done and you could know in advance the theme of each of the show. I think it was pretty popular. They were even accepting submission from the players for new questions. I hope we get more live gameshow games like this one.

This is a shame this is one of the games my wife and I could sit down and play everyday and she always looked forward to it. She kept asking me when it was coming back and I had no clue. Alot of people keep asking me on xbox live since we all played in party chat together.

Yeah. I get work done from home and it was one of those things I played while doing something else and still enjoyed the shit out of it.

Hope MS brings it back.

This makes me sad. I didn't think I would enjoy this all that much since I'm not much of a trivia guy, but one night I had my wife sit on the couch with me to play. We got totally addicted to it. My wife is upset about this too.

I think the experience was pretty unique and was a great showcase of Live's forward thinking. Hopefully they replace it with something.

Sucks that it won't be coming back. It was fun to play but they should have at least brought it back for at least another season or two.

If they bring it back, don't put in so many questions that involve your special guest or sponsors in the live shows. Super lame.

This is terrible. One of the best things to come to come to the Live platform, period.

Really now, this greatly increased the value of my overpriced gold subscription more than any other garbage they added like last.fm.

Agree this is the only thing that added value to me i dont give a shit about social stuff and last fm sucks. 1 vs 100 was fun and laid back screw you ms.

What is it with MS completely shelving great ideas anyways? They can come up with some brilliant stuff and either not fully support it or just drop it unexpectedly later on despite it's success.

I get the feeling Game Room is next. :/

I thought it was a cool concept. Sucks that MS gave up on it so quickly.

This is one of the reasons i fear for kinect, they have a history of just dropping things like a stone. Im still waiting for my vision camera games for god sake.

The most bizarre thing I've seen lately is that they're releasing the new, highly improved XBLA Marketplace and then taking it down a week later.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCBBBBBBBB!!!!!!

I was waiting to renew my Gold membership only for this (don't play other multiplayer)... well, no need for Gold anymore...

Could be that the 1 vs. 100 license was too expensive...

Microsoft, this is a big let down !"!"!!!

Oh yeah, especially that one! There's literally zero logic to that decision. None.

Microsoft as a whole seems to have this problem. I couldn't tell you why, but I bet someone here could.

Sorry, what's this? Did a quick search. Why are they removing it?
