So ... when did Avril Lavigne learn to sing?

1. She's hot and it's really not up for debate. I especially like her upturned non-smile and pointy little nose. I also like her jutting-out little jaw.

2. I actually kinda like some of her songs, although I'm not convinced she can sing.

3. I like her eyes too.

im serious. this song is sick! it used to be my guilty pleasure when id turn on the radio and hear it.

Are you serious? That's practically all high-end retouchers actually do for a living. Blast the living shit out of the skin first then paint pores and skin texture back in. Come on!

I agree that shes talented and can somewhat sing,but most of her lyrics suck,and she used to at least try to write a good song and make a good album,than she switched to bubblegum pop bullshit like "Girlfriend",you know for the moneys!

that part in Closer when clive owen tells natalie portman to turn around and "touch the fucking floor" for his viewing pleasure....yeah, i'd tell avril to do that.
 
I've always liked that song Avril sung for that Vancouver performance...and she sounds great! Better than on the record...

Mark me down as thinking she is CRAZY hot.

The point of the thread was explaining my surprise that Avril is actually a pretty competent singer (and I suppose, songwriter - sometimes :p) ... as well as to mention I had no idea she can play some instruments, let alone sing with them.


I put a few links to songs in post #183. Her voice is actually quite pretty when she wants it to be, and it's obvious that at least some of her songs are heart-felt.

Don't like her music, but Leama and Andy Moor's dub mix of "I'm With You" is quality.
 
I actually had a bit of a lesbian crush on her when she first came out, I think it was more of a fetish for how she dressed though because she's honestly way too skinny for my type. :[
 
Any interview I've seen her in, or read, she comes across as extremely unlikeable. And very vain.

She thinks when you hear the name 'Avril' on another girl you'll think of Avril Lavigne, the same way you'd think of Shania Twain if you heard the name 'Shania'? :lol

So so vain.
 
Avril's got enough musical talent, but most of her music doesn't click with me. She'd need to be the new singer of The Tea Party or something for me to get interested.

I think she's gorgeous though.
