So where's Gaborn? (RIP Gaborn)

Has his passing been confirmed without a shadow of a doubt? Seems like we are using a fairly heavy amount of circumstantial evidence. An obituary of someone with the same name and birthday in his state corresponding to the time of his disappearance. Its not a ridiculous inference to draw by any means I was just wondering if it has been directly confirmed...

Usually decided on. Donations can be made to ______ in whomever's memory.

A couple posters know his real name, DOB, and residence. It's him.

Someone with his exact name, date of birth, state and also looked like him as a child. This is not exactly heavily circumstantial. I don't want to believe it, either, but it would have to be the biggest coincidence in history.
 
Gaborn will be dearly missed. :(

I'm not sure about changing it, but I definitely agree that his use of the Norman Borlaug avatar was iconic.
 
Gotta admit, I noticed his absence. Rare thing for a board like this with so many posters. Testament to how much he added to the forum regardless if you agreed with his stances or not.

Thought the RIP Gaborn thing was a joke t first. Never new he even had health problems. Rest in peace
 
I remember vaguely that he had health problems but I didn't think it was that bad. (unless it happened to be a car accident or something, someone can correct me)

I always loved the news he brought here.

Ah man, he was always pretty fun to argue with. I noticed I hadn't seen him in a while earlier this week, but I figured I'd just been missing him since I'm not around so much.
 
Very sad, made a great contribution to GAF. He will be remembered, I had no idea about his illness. That must have been very difficult to live with, but he genuinely made a difference on here with what he believed and what he'd stand up for.

RIP.

I'm pretty sure he was bed-ridden if not paralyzed because of a disability.
 
RIP Gaborn. I didn't know you personally but I appreciated that your threads were among the best and most consistent on all of GAF.
