Jesus Christ man.... he was a fun guy. I can't believe we had no idea for this long too, really makes you wonder how many lesser-knowns we've lost over the years too. :(

Are you telling me that the thousands of posters who aren't active on Gaf anymore are... dead? That's a scary thought
 
Wow, I tough he was doing something else that kept him occupied enough to not post here, I should have know his ausence wasn't something good, he was a great human being and one of the posters that really made think more open minded and one that elevated GAF's level of discussion above the rest.

RIP man, I know you will shock God's mind with your comments and news
 
Wow. Gaborn is...was a staple of this forum. I always remember making a point to read his posts no matter the thread. Guy was definitely one of the reasons why I kept visiting GAF way back when and was only lurking.

Whatever you thought of his threads, he always made GAF more interesting and memorable. I honestly liked his contributions of strange news stories. GAF won't be the same.
 
I really enjoyed your threads Gabborn. You were a big reason for me venturing into OT.

Both Gabborn and Scorcho were well known identities on GAF but this gets me thinking about about less established or less frequent members that may have passed away unnoticed. There's really no way of knowing unless a 3rd party announces it or a friend member mentions it in a thread like this. Having a seperate internet identity from your real life one really can complicate delecate matters like these.

I am so totally saddened by this news. Gabborn is an irreplaceable part of GAF. :(
 
Woah, this has really left me speechless. He was one of those guys that I always stopped to read his posts, since they're normally straightforward and on the mark. Even though I disagreed with him at times, I always appreciated his perspective. Also, who could forget his 'news' threads?

RIP Gaborn.
 
Wow, this has actually shocked me. I always read Gaborn's threads no matter the subject just because I usually like to know what other news stories might be happening in the world.
 
oh my god... this is tragic. he was a prolific GAFfer and we've all read this many threads. i hope is family is OK through all this.

Damn...man, it so random. First Scorcho and now Gaborn?!

I'm having trouble still processing this. I've been on this forum for years, it's feels strange someone you see post suddenly just passes away.
