So where's Gaborn? (RIP Gaborn)

His passing and Scorcho's just kind of reminds you of how much a brother-sisterhood this place is. I never even replied to the guy (only followed his personality and threads) but I felt a loss when I read this.
 
This is not what I was expecting or wanted to hear. Rip dude you made great topics.

oh my god, this is not happening, this is not fucking happening. I've never directly interacted with Gaborn but I posted in / read his threads. He was such a large part of neogaf, it's just so hard to accept that he's gone.

Whoa... Seriously?

I had several exchanges with him a while ago and he really helped to shape my worldview and provide tons of resources that helped me get to know my own political views.

He had a serious impact on my life... just wow.

Rest in peace... I'm going to miss you. You helped and taught me so much... You really had a huge impact on my life.
 
Wow, came in here expecting he'd been banned for some silly reason, my jaw literally dropped.

RIP dude. Just crazy, crazy stuff. Definitely the member I remember most even when I was just a lurker.
 
Damn, I've read so many of Gaborn's posts since I started lurking here years and years ago--- Rest In Peace Champion of OT news. Goddamn.

I knew something was amiss when I didn't see any threads from Gaborn lately. I didn't know he died, though....

Wish I had something interesting or insightful to say here, but I'm not sure I'd really have much to add. He seemed like a very passionate and caring guy, and he was always helping to stick up for the transgender members of GAF even thought he was in no way obligated to. He tried to open people's minds with conversation and convincing words, which is always the better way to do such a thing.

My heart goes out to his family, friends, and those who knew him.

One of the few posters on GAF I knew by both avatar and username (although he changed the former shortly before he died).

We had a discussion about Che Guevara once. In hindsight, his perspective was probably the right one. You hear that, Gaborn? YOU WERE RIGHT!
 
Fuckin A....that's terrible. :(

Now that I'm thinking about it, it's kinda scary how in a close online community like this, someone could just pass away, and it's entirely possible nobody could notice, or know anything about it until much later on. They'd just be...gone. Fuck.

Ultimate thread backfire and not in a good way. Always read Gaborn's threads, sometimes just out of morbid curiosity.
 
There was a time when he did post depressing news but then he just posted random weird/good news which was cool. And he was definitely memorable on the Poligaf side of things.

Damn, this is rough. Gaborn was an amusing poster on GAF and from what I could gather, a really great human being too. 27, way too soon. Rest in peace.

And yeah, like other people said before, this is the most extreme Gaborn Sad Thread ever.
 
Damn.......ret in peace brother. I always appreciated him posting those bad news stories as they were eye opening. And he also posted those great nature articles. He had a lot of hate but fuck em, one of the best posters here no doubt. Gone but not forgotten.

I assume Gaborn was young. After the recent deaths here, anyone else feel they need to rush into things? Like marriage and having kids. Feels like ur time could be up any second.
