So...Who here still uses OR has a ZuneHD?

Someone on the gaming side described in a post all the failures of Microsoft hardware (Zune being one of them) wise and then it hit me ZuneHD is going to be 4 years old in September.

So I was just wondering how many people out there are still using or have a ZuneHD. I'm still using my launch ZuneHD 32GB! Really loved the simplicity of the OS and how sleek it was back then. Really wish Zune would come back that'll probably never happen :/

I use mine every day. The software beats the shit out of iTunes for Windows and I don't have to worry about running down my phone's battery when listening to it. Plus having artist images float around the background when music is playing is fun, albeit completely useless. HD radio has been pretty great too. On the whole, it's a good device. Shame they didn't take off.

I really wanted a Zune HD but they were never released outside of the US (or NA, can't remember).

I used the 2nd-gen 80 GB Zune for a long time. It was a great device, but I stopped carrying it for 2 reasons:
1. The player on my phone was about 90% as good, and I didn't need an extra device in my pocket.
2. The podcast apps on the phone were better, and I didn't need to sync them with my computer.

Never had a ZuneHD, but I got a Zune120gb almost five years ago and I was always really impressed with it and the Zune software. I'm sure the ZuneHD was awesome. Can't really justify having a dedicated mp3 player anymore with smartphones now, but if I had to go back I'd probably consider a ZuneHD.

I imported a 32GB Zune HD to the UK, as the Zune never left North America as far as I can tell. One of my favourite MP3 players, but sadly my phone now replaces it for the sake of convenience; I have a double sized battery for my S3 and battery is not even remotely a concern any more, and I've not noticed a difference in sound quality really. Plus with a phone if you want a 'new MP3 player' you just download a new app.

MP3 players are odd in that they don't really age; I have a 30GB Creative Zen Vision M from 2004 which seems bizarrely modern and sounds awesome too. That's still my favourite player of all time.

I recently bought a ZuneHD and liked it but it had two major flaws I could not overlook.

1. No Audiobook support.
2. Sole Albums with multiple artist names it would split into individual albums.

How they could overlook both those flaws and especially the second is mind-boggling.

I don't have a ZuneHD but I do have a pink and brown original Zune that I won from some game site probably back in '05 or '06? Actually had them sealed up until a few days ago when my iPod broke and wanted to try it out. Besides the hour or so it took to update from the original interface, I sort of liked it.

Best music software ever made. You can see the code of Zune inside everything MS does now between the new office and windows 8.

I had a 80GB zune and had like 40GB of music on it. But its battery died twice (fixed it the first time and gave up the next time) and I haven't touched it in a few years. Been wanting to see if places can still repair it. Loved that thing.

ZuneHD always looked great. Too small HDD or out of my price range for a music player though.

Still rocking an 80gb Zone SD haha

don't use it often anymore since I just play podcasts from my phone now... But I will go back when I get a car with aux in

Using an original Zune 30 gig I got 5 years ago. Love that little tank. I've dropped it so many time times, it's gone through rough moments, and it's still tanking. Despite the brand going down under, it's an extremely strong product for what it offers. And radio!

Got my original Zune, and a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate and a wireless 360 controller, for free from Live Search Club many many years ago. I just recently started using it again recently as my mp3 player for my car since it won't recognize my phone over usb. I also still use the Zune software as my primary program for music.

My man.

I've still got mine sitting on my desk, white model. No idea if it still works as I can't find the dock/sync thing for it but I used to love using mine.

At the time a Zune HD was about $100 cheaper for twice the music space (16gb) than an ipod touch, so I bit, I've had it since 2009, but have moved onto using my phone, but it was well worth the purchase, got water on it, dropped it plenty of times and it stayed strong throughout the years.

As a music device it's top class, anything else and it falls short, wifi in it was shit. Zune kicked iTunes ass though, I agree.

Zune HD is still the best media player I ever bought. People laughed. "Oh, a Zune? Those Microsoft, those poop brown," they said. But dammit, the thing was superb. Way more intuitive and elegant than an iPod. If people only gave them a chance...

I would still be using it, but the thing started screwing up on me. After about a year, anything I'd store on it after roughly 12GB would start to overwrite the end of other tracks. Like, song 1 would play fine until 1 minute to the end and then the middle of song 2 would abruptly play instead (still on the same song 1 file). Really weird. I did a factory reset twice, and it did the same thing each time.

My S2 and Neutron have replaced it, and while the 32GB of music is nice neutron is kind of a mess of UI.

Best purchase I ever made. Lasts a long time and never shits out on me.

Love it. Got me one of those ZuneArts customs, Ice blue 64GB

I have a regular Zune. Unfortunately the Zune HD never came to Canada. Though I bought my Zune shortly before the Zune HD came out, and given that my Zune is still kicking about 4 years later I doubt I'd ever get a Zune HD.

I'd love to see some higher capacity ZuneHD's for the return, but Microsoft has all but forgotten the hardware side of the brand. Loved toying around with them in the shops, but I always wanted bigger than 16/32GB
